This is how video games are going to be rendered in the next 15 years. Mark my words.
>>745992374Ok but 15 years is a long time so who gives a shit15 years ago games were still good
Slop will still be slopLower budget games will still be goodNothing will change
>>745992374Nobody's playing video games because everyone's hooked on the eternal pleasure machine by tiktok
>>745992374Honestly they probably already arethat obscene camera flying and character posing is reminiscent of how gacha character ults and menu emotes work, not to mention some of the newer chinese games like Where Winds Meet's outfit bannersThey genuienly look and act exactly like this
>>745992374this is true and what i imagined when I first saw img-2-img from crude sketches years ago.keep the PC around as a state machine and have the AI act as a render layer, eliminating each other's weakness.I dont think we'd go to this overnight though, I imagine someone will perfect the AI 3d models pipeline first and then that will become the norm before real time consumer 4k AI video makes sense.
>>745992374>constant camera movement>camera+character movement don't appear random, they are synced which requires even more attention to detail>complete articulation of every limb, digit and abdomencreating the animation in that upper right corner would still take even a skilled animator days, if not weeks. the fact that the model looks like a basic mannequin is completely irrelevant.
>>745992374this is already better than just generating videos from nothing and hoping for the best
Until AI can achieve temporally coherent output which obeys the mechanical principles expected of a VIDEO GAME which people are PLAYING by feeding INPUTS into a DETERMINISTIC SYSTEM, they are absolutely not going to be rendered like this.5-10 years ago you would have been saying all games are going to be played by streaming them from the cloud. These claims are just as stupid and just as wrong.
Yeah serverside only too
>>745992374ai won.
>>745993252>creating the animation in that upper right corner would still take even a skilled animator days, if not weeks.Youre not going to believe it lol
>>745992374>just pay us $100,000 year 2041 dollars for the hardware and a perpetual $1,000 a month subscription goy
>>745992374Goodbye what's left of individual art styles.
>>745992374I've been saying this for a while now too. The chances that traditional GRAFIX will be basically be replaced by an AI filter overlay, is very high. It will probably be able to create the illusion of absolute photorealism, or just make use of whatever art direction it's fed, or asked to gen up.
>>745992532boomer mindset
>>745992374The way both the character and the camera move are so uncanny that it makes me think it could work in a horror video game, but then again AI is also incapable of being scary. It's so unmistakably AI that it wouldn't register as uncanny like it should because it's instantly identifiable as something mundane.
>>745992374>output uses frames from the output as an inputwut
I don’t want photorealistic graphics in a video game. Who wants that? Women? I’ve always hated FMV games. Art style is part of making games. I don’t want real life plus a controller.
>>745994046let's be honest, artists deserve this
>>745992374>AI still looks like shitwake me up when something happens
>>745992374>someone who's never touched development before
AI image gen already requires a decently powerful GPU to render out at 1080p. Doing live video gen at any kind of decent resolution on a consumer card just isn't possible.
>>745992374That is more like a video. Videogame graphics will be more like DLSS5 than that.CGI and AI will be integrated together so that you can make a video with AI, have it create a 3D animation file for it, then use DLSS5-type tech to add the AI details live as you view it in Blender or whatever. Games will be made in simple CGI like in the top right there (to maintain consistency) with all visual details added by AI
