I've never played a single mega man game but I've watched plenty of them. They all just look so boring, do they still hold up today? Maybe they are harder but any time I've seen gameplay it seems like you can barely see anything on the screen and everything dies instantly and you just casually run to the end and kill the boss. They look like something a 6 year old could easily beat

I love how Xfags have to time travel back to the 90s to make their argument work. Both series are out in full RIGHT NOW. Why would ANYBODY after the releases of X8 and Z4 respectively ever choose to play X over Zero? I guess the answer is nostalgia, there's nothing else that can really justify it.

I love this game but hate the mcs design so much. Its really distracting and off-putting; his design really clashes with the 90s retro aesthetic. Nobody would make a character that looks like that in 1994.On that note, I never got why people like or even tolerate "cute but cool" player characters in games. It's funny how Mega Man X is the only one of two series where each entry is worse than the previous one with more than 3 entries. The exception is X4 (it's better than X3).The other is Sonic.

I valued that stuff when I was a teenager playing those games for the first time, but the unskipable story stuff really drags down the games on sequential playthroughs. Especially when you are trying to get S rank and you have to reply levels multiple times. The original MegaMan games and the first few X games are just more streamlined, I guess.
