When I played this game, I used a walkthrough guide for a lot of it because it was confusing and hard as fuck. Dark Souls 2 was a lot more straight forward but it took me 5 tries.

For me, it was opening the Central Yharnam gate in Bloodborne

I did that and thought

Well I kept dying and having to restart the game a lot because I was stuck between trying to get through the crypts and New Londo since I thought I'd completed the Undead Burg area after beating the golems. Then after that I kept on dying because I still hadn't gotten good lol.

How did you like the combat in DS1? It was great as my first Souls game but once I got comfortable just hugging the giant enemies, it became incredibly easy. I'd imagine anyone jumping into it after playing the later games will just sleepwalk through the entire game
