I last played AC up until revelations and want to pick back up with the series. Are any considered skippable storywise? There's a lot to go through, 10 main titles i think. Not bothered about length or dlc really, I can manage with those.

The overarching story of the series kind of lost itself after Revelations and the modern day aspects became increasingly irrelevant, so you’re not actually missing much by just jumping around and picking whatever later AC game you want.

3 is where the original story concludes, in a manner of speaking. 4 and Rogue are kinda like sequels to that original modern day plot line, then after that it involves robots and magic and shit
