Nfs carbon is just a mix of most wanted combined with nfs underground. They tried to do both since those two were the most successful but clearly took more inspiration from the worst one - most wanted and ate shit. The appeal of nfs and what made it famous was underground - street racing game, since there was literally non in the market of that caliber. If you wanted your track based hyper car circle jerk that you could go anywhere else. But it seems that it still makes identity or simply they needed to have the popular practice of "cinematic single player story telling" shoved into every game hence every nfs after most wanted was a dogshit joke, even though previous ones had story also but it was there just for show.Bottom line is, most wanted is the game that killed franchise, all the worst practices and ideas were Initially tested there with success that than paved a road for ten thousand year curse of shit nfs games..
