I'd replay it a decade after release and it still felt impressive in many ways. Almost everything about it feels dated now. I still enjoyed it, but I could see why people may have a hard time getting into it nowadays. I think fresh eyes would do it better justice than my 50th playthrough after all this time. There was a huge gap between the last time I played it and now.One thing that did stick was my love for Episode 1. I think too many people give that one a bad wrap. There's just something about that expansion that I still really love. Good set pieces and fun combat segments all throughout it. It has strangely always been my favorite of the three. It's not perfect at all, but there's a certain itch it scratches for me.

I replayed HL2 recently and felt like it had a lot of flaws but I don't know if it's from age. The game was technologically impressive but as a game I think it had issues. It'll come up with a gameplay idea but then make you do it over and over for that section to the point where it wears thin. Your move speed feels slow especially compared to HL1 and I know that's because they added a sprint function but I still felt like the speed should've been a bit higher. There are just too many slow sections with people talking. And dealing with the striders was just ass because of how much of a damage sponge they are and there are so many. The face animations were still alright though, and I actually found myself sort of enjoying the vehicle sections more than expected. And the physics can be fun to interact with.

Never really got into TF2. I tried it but I'm just not really a shooter fan in general.I thought Portal and Portal 2 were fun, and I'm surprised they haven't released another entry at this point, though then again maybe not since Valve tends to give up before a 3rd installment of everything, looking at Team Fortress and Half Life.I wish they did more with community levels in Portal though, if they made a Portal game kind of like Super Mario Maker I bet it would do well.
