all these options and still all you do is autoresolve every fights
total war is a snoozefest

Don't play campaign on low difficulty? You're allowing that as the player

Not really. Even on VH mode you'll start gettijng doomstacks by turn 50-60 at best while your neighbors sit in their settlements with shitstacks of peasants and men at arms or other trash units that can't possibly beat your rot knights/chosen of khorne/thoondabarges/etc.
The game really does suffer from AI not scaling very well/at all/being able to keep up with the player once the player starts to snowball.
I'm hoping End Times fixes this somewhat but I'm not really expecting it to do a lot there. It's adding more shit for 2 already OP factions, adding a new OP faction to the game, and then there's Toddlet.
The map changes and all that shit will make or break the DLC IMO.
>>
I think the Nagash mod being so fucking amazingly good kind of forced CA to actually try which is why we're getting all this shit for Nagash. Yet another fan made piece of content mogging them into submission.
>>
>game is only fun for the first 20 turns
>either snowball out of control
>or get unlucky enough and start over

Also daily reminder that CA has no idea how to fix the 'bug' where AI becomes passive as fuck and builds 30 shitstacks around their settlements that do fucking nothing.
Daily reminder that sieges are complete doghist too
Daily reminder the players generally don't care about either as long as they get shiny new keys jingled in front of them.
>>
>>746028254
why do I get the feeling that good means ridiculously OP? I haven't met a single modder who understands balance
>>
>>746028787
>CA has no idea how to fix the 'bug' where AI becomes passive as fuck and builds 30 shitstacks around their settlements that do fucking nothing.
They know how to fix it, the issue is twofold. One, the skeleton crew(heh) keeping this game alive simply doesn't have the time and manpower required to actually fix the underlying code so the best they can do is duct tape the leaks and hope it doesn't explode. Two, CA is, for some reason, trying to tread a fine line between making AI and appeasing the casual Empire players that just want to hop on and xDD SUMMON THE ELECTOR COUNTS :))). Making the AI better means making the game harder means pissing off those people and in the long run, that'd be counterproductive.

I will never forgive the Karl Franz mains for their crimes.

I mean in fairness Nagash is really OP, although if I recall Nagash himself in the mod isn't like some obscene combat monster. And while you can recruit every undead faction's units, the unit caps are pretty strict so you really have to plan ahead to have enough to get what you want. Also everyone fucking hates the shit out of you, including other undead who you have to beat into submission so it can be a pretty challenging campaign.

>>746028787
i kinda want to enjoy 40k but i have feeling it will suffer same fate
>>
>>746029106
It's probably made on purpose which is fucking stupid.
>>
>>746029445
I have 'hope' that between a brand new engine and not spitting the game into a trilogy again that 40k will be able to avoid some of the issues plaguing TWW.
I also hope for a lot of other shit that I know isn't gonna happen though so.
>>
>>746029568
They're not doing multiple 40K releases? Just DLC?
>>
>>746029568
We do not know what buggy janky shit 40K has in store for us. TWW1 ran and was okay there was bugs like Ambush having 0% but you could still play the game without Ambushing and TWW1 was most stable out of the three, The problems started to come in TWW2 with huge bugs like Vampire Corruption, Dwarf blobbing everything because they got Skaven's growth for some reason, Tomb Kings literally missing their animations which meant they didnt do damage correctly and all other kinda of bugs.
Also the constant barrage of P2W DLC that they will pump in 40k makes me not probably want to buy it. Watching shill reviews doersnt work neither because none of the issues are not covered there.
>>
>>746029775
I don't think it's actually been confirmed but they've gone on record that splitting TWW into multiple games was a logistics and coding nightmare. So surely they'll be avoiding doing all of that again right?
I'm not expecting shit though.
>>
>>746029921
>Also the constant barrage of P2W DLC
Well yeah. 40k is being made because it's DLC paradise
>Black marines
>Green marines
>Other green marines
>Other blue marines
>Yellow marines
>Gray marines
>Gold better-than-marines
>Imperial guard with gasmasks
>Imperial guard with pickelhaube's
>Ghost Eldar
>Angry Eldar
>Extra psychic Eldar
>Cavemen Eldar
40k is heaven when it comes to DLC that the paypiggies will devour.

>>746027604
I really dislike the map gameplay, it's 90% of the game. It's a machine that only knows to create binary battles, either you stomp or get stomped. Lately I'm just playing the special battles of each character on the main menu since at least most of those are good. But it makes me wish for a fully scripted linear campaign with battles that have special events and predefined rosters.
>>
>>746030585
Can we expect a mod that removes all space marine subfactions but one, and removes all the primaris nu hammer units?
>>
>>746027389
Ehhhhh I'm pirating it anyways
>>
>>746031207
No. They are excising all non primaris units from marines on tabletop and TWW40k is following tabletop.
>>
>>746028787
THIS STILL HAPPENS????? ARE YOU KIDDING ME
>>
>>746030585
>>Other blue marines
kino..

>he isnt playing AI mods that make them build proper armies AND settlements
>he isnt playing with a garrison mod

Shouldn't need mods to fix some of the games core issues 2bh.
Incompetent devs need to be called out on incompetence. Excusing it and going 'Mods will fix it durrrrr' is how it festers and continues to get worse.

>path of exile
>in WH
Yes, path of nagash. Certified shit too.
