Unironically the overarching issue, regardless of mechanics and tone and cosmetics and aidscancer, it's the yearly releases/overexposure, including Warzone. Call of Duty at its peak popularity was about investing time not just gitting gud, but unlocking camos and shit to prove it.Now there's no time to really do that because the playerbase is constantly split between five different games. It feels lonely, if that makes sense.

Not a single one of these games has warranted a full price purchase since 2019, and even then, that was mostly because the game felt like a breath of fresh air after WWII and BO4 shat the bed hard. The game itself isn't as good as nostalgiatards would have you believe (it's actually one of the more disgustingly woke CoD games) but it does scratch the milsim itch and still plays better than most if not all games since.This series needs a big hiatus.

MWII was the last newer CoDs I sorta enjoyed. I hated Cold War, BO6, and didn't bother with MWIII or BO7. I'm having a fun time just grinding the Black Ops 2 port. I don't think we're ever going back to a slower paced MP again.
