It wasn't bad, but very uninspired in terms of gameplay, story, enemy variety and pretty much everything else. I think it's worth playing because its kind of "solid" but way too expensive for what it is.

Elliot is a FAGOLA
An unfortunate issue that isn't apparent until a little ways into the game is the padding. The time travel plot doesn't service the gameplay at all: the overworld is almost exactly the same in each period, and every dungeon is only really explored once across all of them, leaving a simple bonus chest in a single room in every other era. Most of the game is actually running back and forth between quest markers and talking to NPCs, with nothing inbetween and only a few action sequences to speak of. So if you dropped it after the demo because you didn't like the princess talking to you the whole time, you made the right move.
>>746059835I didn't think it was too bad until late in the game. For some reason the entire end of the game is walking and talking and barely any exploration or fighting, it's ridiculous. One other thing I really didn't like was the weapon gating. Most of the time it wasn't too bad, the main culprit was the hammer. For some reason they just hold the ultimate hammer upgrade away from you forever, and then when you finally get it, there's barely anything to use it on. Which is a shame, I wanted to use it more.
The title and coverart makes me think of a wiiware game.
