I hate tortanic fucks. I hate people who participated in the destruction of my favorite extraction game ever made. Some of criticisms are on point like the runners being passed through a DEI filter before getting approved, but that doesn’t change the fact that Marathon is dripping with atmosphere. So much sovl will be lost when this is shut down. Night marsh is fucking amazing. Outpost and entering the pinwheel with the 5 randomized red light boxes is cool as fuck. Creeping around these maps solo is just an incredible vibe. Bungie did not miss, the groupthink surrounding this game is astounding and offensive. Make no mistake, I totally appreciate that it’s indicative of the rot of the game industry, but that doesn’t change how I feel about it. It’s a good game. One of a kind. It gave the same feelings I got when hearing Peter Dinklage in Destiny 1.

The Flood as far as anything you experience in the game isn't close to the same, it isn't warping reality and you actually fight them as enemies with some interaction with the world you understand. Not so much in Infinity/with the wrkncacnter. Yes the covenant and the pfhor are very similar in many respects, and humans are the galactic underdogs woefully unequipped against their peers, but most of the similarities drop off a cliff after that.
