Just like HLA, the moment Valve reveals it, it will launch in 3-4 months, so the game has to be 99.5% done by the time a trailer reveal happenns. Take the perfectionism Valve had with HLA and increase it by a thousand times, all playtesters are forced to sign NDAs and can only play it in Valve offices compared to when they were distributing builds with HLA in 2019

I've played most games out there, and HL ALYX is probably the only game I kept looking at my watch all the time.
