How does Engage emulate? I skipped it on release because I thought the titular Engage mechanic looked ridiculous both visually and in terms of gameplay balance, but enough people have praised the latter that I want to give it a go.

The well is a tiered gacha mechanic where you toss in x value in items and get random tiered rewards back after the next map based on the amount. Most people focus on how it provides extra SP in the form of books, but it can also upset balance by giving you an OP staff for free. It's not that effective early on, it only really starts having an impact when you can afford to consistently drop higher tiers that have guaranteed drops. I've definitely done an early game well drop that was just an iron weapon, and all I got back was two iron weapons. Big whoop.

It's a fork of another mod that adds a lot of classes, but rebalanced and reworked to balance out the game for a more enjoyable experience without breaking the game too much (the original was very unhinged in a not so fun way). I'd like you guys to try it out and tell me your experience with it so I can fine-tune it before releasing it into GB. It adds two more classes per class trees, adds an entire new class tree to add even more options for mages, and rebalances characters to try and make everyone viable for maddening. The mod is balanced around Maddening, but the earlygame will feel a bit closer to Hard due to the buffs to the characters, but later maps will be a bit harder the base game once enemies begin promoting due to the skills being embedded to the classes themselves and existing classes receiving significant buffs.You can download the mod itself here.
