But fore rise specifically, I can't seem to get past the first couple of hours they're such a slog and idk what wep to use. Went IB in wilds but its way different here

>>746060359I'd say Iceborne, or frankly, base World. Iceborne adds shit that isn't all that great. As much as I do like Rise, it doesn't really feel all that genuine as what the previous games were. Too many tools like iframes and wirebug shit that make things less punishing (though I'm not saying it's easier, but it definitely leans more into the faster aspect of things). Or you can go back and emulate the handheld games but only go as far back as FU.

>>746060359Sunbreak is the better package by a landslide. But to get there you have to play base rise which, i mean, isn't terrible (outside of rampage) but yeah, not the best either. Likewise, Rise is really not the what the franchise is about. I see it more as bizarro spinoff, somewhat related to autismo funhouse of frontier. That said, i'm not a huge iceborn fan, or base world for that matter, but still think it should give you a better idea.
