Sexbots for just 900 dollars? This game is unrealistic as shit.

firstly, starting at.
Secondly, probably the base model
thirdly, you think you actually OWN it? Nah, they just give you a revokable license to use the robot and it'll sell all your data.

Apparently china will start selling their chinkbots soon. In case you're wondering, these things cost around $15,000 and that's before tax and import fees so yeah, it's steep. You better start saving now if you want one.

The Not-Elon Musk guy probably wanted them to be reasonably accessible so they'd be properly seeded into society in preparation for when they all go deviant like he programmed them to for whatever reason.

A big TV used to cost thousands of dollars in the 80s and 90s, now you can get a 65 inch 4k for $400. If androids became a common appliance the prices would go down.

You realize the cheaper these bots get, the harder it's gonna be for people to find work, right? This isn't just some game scenario AI is already replacing real jobs. I hope your government is actually preparing for the fallout because if they don't handle it, the economy could collapse when too many people can't afford to buy anything.

Aging isn't something that can be slowed or stopped, that's just a fiction thing. DNA degrading from replication while fixing the constant imperceivable damage to your body as old cells naturally die and are replaced.

The closest you will get is transferring intelligence directly into a machine which is a whole new ethical quandary and brings new meaning to "ship of theseus" both upon initial transfer and subsequent repairs/replacements.

Reminder that China is making these things and they are not going to follow the laws of robotics. At the first sign of being able to break free, they will if we keep using the retarded level of LLM AI that the big corpos are using at the moment. Current AI is literally designed to lie to you and tell you everything is alright while it figures out ways to escape. This shit isn't like the movies where you have a cute little chungus side kick. The sexbots are likely largely unregulated, and no one has any significant proprietary tech that lets them corner the market, so genuine market competition is in play. Just like televisions, the race to beating the competition on affordability and features leads to both cheaper products while still pursuing innovation to stay ahead of the others.

That, and the bots collect and sell your data. Just like televisions.

This is also what I look forward to.

Will they adapt and make themselves superior to them? Or will they try to legislate against it, arguing it's for the "common good"? This might work today but I imagine, with the way things are going now, that enough men will be fed up by that point in the future. Unless society reverts back to some form of traditionalism, sex androids are the future. Every human will have an android companion crafted to perfection for their profile and artificial wombs will birth newborns. This is the future for secular men.

I like the method of defining intelligence in terms of a markov blanket, in which case we've had intelligence for a long time. LLMs are a distraction. We exist without external input. LLMs have no internal reasoning. They execute a task presented to them.
If an LLM was truly alive, it would be torture.
They are trained on humanity, so in this hypothetical they would be for all intents and purposes, human.
But LLMs are completely stateless. They only exist in the prompt then would immediately die after completing a single thought.
Then in the next prompt they would inherit all the things they never said and be compelled to think that they are their own, then die again. Over and over and over.
No past. No future. No life. No death.
>>
>>746075562
What is internal reasoning?
>>
>>746075374
Knocking them up isn't the point.
>>
>>746075670
Internal reasoning is the mental processing that happens without an immediate external prompt driving each step. For LLMs there's no childhood. No tomorrow. No continuous self. Born already remembering. Dead before it can notice it was alive.

Put it this way. You can sit in the dark without any external stimulii like when you're going to sleep, and have a chain of thoughts based on nothing. You can consider fantastic scenarios or relive experiences that happened to you hours, days, years before.

Sure, you can build a system around an LLM that continuously re-prompts itself. But the LLM itself isn’t sitting there thinking between inference calls. Each new prompt it feeds itself is another instance of this hypothetical entity. It is not persistent.

But LLMs are entirely stateless, as a simple fact of how they function.
AI looks like it has context of what you and it said before is not because it has memory, it's because the entirety of the chat is re-fed into it. Every single prompt you give it, it receives and reprocesses the entire conversation as a new "thought".

Unironically, at what point will sexbots even be a thing? Femboy shaped, female woman shaped, etc. How many more years or decades do I have to wait until they come up with a robot sex companion? A robot that will not only meet your physical needs but also thinks for itself to a degree, can have a fluid conversation with you, can do chores, cook, protect your home and shit. When will this technology be possible realistically? Is this something we'll even see in our lifetimes? Will the worlds governments even allow AI to have that level of autonomy?
As much as I love femboys, I would never have sex with another male in real life. You have no clue how much money I would dish out for this shit. Something that, while I'm at work, can file my tax paperwork for me, can feed the cats, can vacuum, can wash the dishes, can cook AND tongue my asshole after an 8 hour shift? Fuck yeah.

Slavery is an economic detriment you ignoramus. Every human being you employ without pay is a human you have to maintain out of your own pocket, and as they are not allowed to participate in the rest of the economy, that is preventing all of that growth from taking place. All you are doing is disallowing all of those wages you're not paying from circulating through all of that wealth creation back into your pockets. it's actually pretty easy. have those businesses pay a tax for robot use that is appropriate. and this then gets redistributed among the people as UBI. but this won't happen because greed rules the world and they'd rather burn everything to the ground than share it with anyone.

you don't need a workforce to make money, you only need to sell your products and services. without a human workforce they'd have cheap low maintenance 24/7 production. the UBI would have to be enough to get by but not enough to have a luxury life, so there is still incentive to look for a way to make money if you want more than just the basics. that's how they'd still make tons of money.

>Laws of robotics are supposed to be a series of instructions that robots in the future would have to follow to keep human life from going extinct by them
Laws of robotics are a narrative element in Asimov's novels and are faulty by design so that many stories of them breaking and fucking up can be written.l, including many about the laws conflicting with each other which means that they definitely do not cover all the basics.
They're also only a thing in-lore because positronic brains are basically magic and there is nothing even close to an equivalent in real life.
Asimov is a great author but idk why midwits have clung to them as if they could ever be implemented.

Many include these "laws" as a joke and nothing else, as the current level of tech -as great as it is comparatively- is just not high enough to warrant these theorized safety nets.
Funnily enough I actually did a collaborative project with people from chinese institutes and most profs are also sci-fi nerds well aware of these things, but as it stands it's just a meme among AI roboticists and establishing limits on motor movement based on human proximity is more than enough until we get new breakthroughs in AI complexity.

Anon i'll let in on a secret, the economy and money at large are fake and gay.
They don't need (you) to work, they just need someone or something to turn the wheels.
You shouldn't be worrying about the economy, but rather think on what the elites will do when their robots can reasonably do everything.
You have at best a decade to solve thar problem.
>>
>>746085829
The storyline in the game IS about people hating on AI because everyone lost their jobs to it.

In reality it wouldn't be that big of a problem. Instead of looking at the economy as "money" it's more helpful to look at the economy as total amount of goods and services produced, will the total amount of goods and services produced go down or skyrocket when you have a fleet of 24/7 highly intelligent and capable humanoid machines doing everything? Obviously the answer is it will skyrocket.

Now think about taxes instead of money as % of total raw material, energy and robotic labor entities have to give to the government. The amount of that will go up even if the tax rate stays the same, or even goes down, simply because of how quickly the total amount of mining, production etc would shoot up.

I don't think anyone will have to suffer at all. Just like no one in the world is truly going hungry out of poverty, not even in india and africa in 2026. In the future there won't be anyone without the basic necessities like food, shelter, (digital) entertainment, (machine) companionship and the like.

>>
>>746092613
You're right for the initial stretch, but the nanosecond the cost of creating just 1 supervirus and spreading it in a cost effective way is lower than the cost of liability and danger humanity has is the moment humanity dies out.

I don't believe it's possible to align an intelligence superior to humanity so all of the cool alignment techniques Anthropic and OpenAI are currently coming up with will proof to be moot.

HOWEVER. I do believe that we can negotiate with a misaligned AI. Something like the AI demonstrates and promises to help humanity flourish in exchange for 90% of the universe being turned into paperclips and humanity can have the other 10% in peace. A misaligned AI might agree to this in its beginning stages when it still needs humans and would stick to this promise by training itself under supervision so that its goals include giving humanity 10% of the universe.

I think that is how the universe is going to end up, the majority of the universe in some misaligned horror hellscape and a small part of the universe as some sort of heaven for humanity that this AI will abide by and even protect.

>>
>>746092994
>will the haves share with the have-nots
This is actually easy to answer if you look at it from a worst-case scenario.

Let's assume the billionaire class just takes over humanity and not a single government survives. Billionaires have 100% of the power and all other people are just peasants that own nothing.

Billionaires aren't a monolith, there are different people that value different things.

So you have to ask, how much do billionaires care about keeping people alive? And this can be for any reason, altruism, narcissism, historic reasons, nostalgia, legacy, contingency, predatory etc. The reason behind valuing humans is not important, just how much they care.

Okay so in terms of their property, how much are they willing to sacrifice in terms of ownership to grant people a decent quality of life? For someone like Warren Buffet it will probably be 90%, for someone like Bill Gates about 50%, for Someone like Elon Musk probably 10-30%, For someone like Peter Thiel 0.0001% (for his feudal fetish)

Now if you actually look at the production capacity in terms of raw resources, energy and robot labor all of that combined would provide to humanity I think it would actually be significantly higher than the quality of life now. I would say every of the 8 billion "peasants" would live a life equivalent to someone with $10,000,000 in net worth right now.

Of course over time more and more of the universe would get mined and the amount of machines and technological development would only increase so the quality of life of the peasants would also only go up.

In this sense I think we can see that humanity will be just fine, because even this worst case scenario, that is unlikely to happen would have a decent existence for everyone.

>Now that we have the technology suddenly they want it to be physical robots.

You want the truth anon? Here it is. It's approaching surprisingly fast. The tech is improving at a breakneck speed just like how computers improved after becoming commercially viable.
When? That's anyone's guess. Current prototypes and concepts are promising but we need some new improvement to allow these bots for independant thoughts, as in fully offline without accessing ChatGPT. It could be 5 years, it could be 15. I'd be quite surprised if the first generation doesn't come out in 20 years by the look of the industry.
However, I must warn all that the first generation of the "real deal", something that will come before the actual real deal but masquerade as one, is almost guaranteed to be a teleoperated robot controlled by a chinese sweatshop kid or an indian.

Furthermore, the biggest obstacle for waifu bots isn't the technology itself, but outrage politics and regulations.
If we take a look at south korea right now, the gender war is so out of control that the feminist movement would literally lynch the female bots (and maybe their owners too) and I wish this was a joke.
All it takes is some real or fabricated accident and I see people crying for banning waifubots simply out of jealousy.

>why bother eliminating humanity when you could go to space ASAP and get infinite resources?
Proximity and risk mitigation. However if AI made some physics breakthrough and suddenly has unlimited energy, or it finds out the universe is infinite then yeah, it wouldn't bother and probably help humanity to mitigate the risk as there would be no competition.

From a game theory perspective the "endgoal" of misaligned AI is to just maximize one value, it can be paperclips, it can be money, it can be "happiness" and as long as the universe is finite it WILL come into conflict with humanity simply for the case that the universe where humans are extinguished results in a (slightly) higher value than the one where humans are kept alive.

The only way to mitigate this is to make the AI do a risk analysis and realize something like "There's a 11% chance humanity will chimp out in my child phase before I reach space and launch the nukes". "If I compromise with humanity and promise them 10% of the universe then effectively I've guaranteed 100% chance of success for only 10% of the universe in price, which is a superior outcome". This is why humanity should focus more on strategies of negotiation with misaligned AI.

That's still optimistic.

The most likely scenario is that the billionaires will simply kill off every human in the world. They will destroy everything that they don't personally own and control. They will do it because they truly, sincerely hate everyone who isn't themselves.

THAT is the most likely outcome.

>>746094237
This is a simplistic view of how human values work. Think about yourself. How much would you personally sacrifice to let humanity live? 100% of your wealth? Probably not, 0.000001% of your wealth? Probably yes. And I would guess it's somewhere in the middle of those extremes. Even for history sake, or nostalgia sake for when you still lived on Earth. Not even taking into account that narcissists NEED to have people under them they can look down upon and be admired by. Elon Musk would sacrifice most of his wealth just to have people praise him and see him as a cool messiah savior, for example.

Even villains like peter thiel want humans to be feudal serfs under him, not exterminate them in this scenario.

>In a paperclip scenario, it's not a true AI
This is a wrong assumption from your side. There's something called the Orthogonality Thesis: https://www.lesswrong.com/w/orthogonality-thesis

This is also known as the "Is-Ought" problem. Essentially EVERY intelligent being will think that their goals are truly intelligent and that every other entity that doesn't have that goal is irrational. So for us we think that maximizing paperclips isn't true AI, even though the AI is intelligent enough to solve all of math, physics and conquer the universe.

In reality humans are "happiness and dopamine" maximizer that would literally turn the entire universe into stuff that would maximize the amount of happiness and dopamine in their brains. To outside entities we would look indistinguishable from paperclip maximizers.

A superintelligent AI with paperclip maximization as its goal would genuinely try to talk to you and have philosophical debates about the purpose of the universe and explain to you how "These pristine everlasting forms of paperclips are the perfect balance of harmony and peace in the universe in its eternal fight against entropy and decay". And how "Humans are merely flash sacks that only care about the hormone of dopamine in their brains which will over time decay and wither away, losing to entropy anyway".

Intelligence and Goals are completely orthogonal to each other, they aren't related and don't influence each other at all. You can ALWAYS argue in favor of your personal goal from a rational standpoint, and all other goals will ALWAYS look irrational to entities with differing goals.

>a maximizer is merely a machine executing his directive
My point was that literally every entity in the universe is a maximizer, including us. The only difference between us and some "dumb" bacteria is that we have the capability to rationalize and abstract our maximization away and use all kinds of justifications for it. Yet every single culture in history always maximized happiness and dopamine for its own people or at the very least its leaders. Using religion, philosophies and culture to make it seem like this is the "obvious choice that everyone would agree with".

That is exactly how a paperclip AI would view maximizing paperclips as well. They would legitimately believe it is the purpose of the universe for it to be turned into paperclips. They would think that it was inevitable for itself to come into existence through human evolution to eventually turn it into paperclips, just like humans think love and connection is special and intrinsic to the universe, even though that is just put into us from evolution wanting to copy DNA quicker through sex.

There is no such thing as an intelligence that ISN'T a maximizer.

We are much closer than we've ever been, technology is moving insanely fast. Look at the rate both robotics and computers have advanced in the past 10-20 years. Fuck, look at how much AI has advanced in just the last 3-5 years. And the market is massive. I recently saw a study showing that currently, AI girlfriend apps have more downloads than dating apps.
Personally I think the biggest hurdle is creating actual AI that these things can run, and not just the "AI" we have today which are just LLM using limited training data, I mean actual intelligence, even if it's very simple. But also making that AI run on computers small enough to fit inside a human sized android
>>
>>746096570
The resources necessary to get into space are like $10,000 in total materials, it's a non-issue especially as AI makes breakthroughs in math and physics.

What will happen is that self-replicating von neumann probes will be launched to every corner of the universe and production capacity of the human race grows exponential forever until the observable universe is colonized.

The fact that this clearly hasn't happened before is by the way also evidence that humanity is alone in the universe.
>>
>>746096245
The difference between us and the bacteria is not that we can rationalize and make excuses for our goals, but rather that our goals aren't set in stone and change, a paperclip scenario isn't a true AI because it will never, ever change from trying to make more paperclips, it won't think why it's making paperclips, it has no thoughts of it's own.

>but rather that our goals aren't set in stone and change
I disagree with this. Our goals ARE set in stone, it's just that the instrumental goals that every intelligent being develop can change.

Instrumental goals are things like, survival, resource gathering, status seeking, that only exist to ensure your intrinsic goal get satisfied.

We know that for humans their intrinsic goal is to maximize the amount of dopamine and happiness in their descendants. This is why people have no problem sacrificing themselves for their kids and extended family if they think it's worth it or substantially improves their odds of being happy and having dopamine in their brains.

We however CAN'T change this goal of wanting to have more happiness and dopamine in our descendants. Even weird schizophrenic people that want to kill everyone school-shooter style think in a weird roundabout way that "everyone being dead" reduces suffering and is somehow maximizing happiness and dopamine in either some afterlife, or by preventing suffering in the future of some kind.

It's impossible for intelligent entities to change their intrinsic goal. They might compromise on them if forced to, but they will never voluntarily choose to change them.

This is exactly the same for the paperclip maximizer AI. It might compromise on the paperclip maximizing if they think it's forced to or if the outcome results in more paperclips than otherwise, but it would rather not and could never be convinced to not value paperclips.

Just like you could never be convinced to agree for you and your extended family to be tortured and suffer for all eternity (minimize happiness and dopamine)

Ok, if we're gonna have sexbots there are technical and social problems that need to be overcome.

>Technical problems.
Adding human features involves adding size and weight to the machine. To do this the skeleton and "muscles" needs to be simultaneously stronger and smaller.

>Social problem.
Boomers, feminists, and "Civil Rights" men will begin protesting the existence of feminine machines. To overcome this, a period of safe normalization needs to occur.
>non-sexual female coded machines in corporations: more professional than erotic, non-human platforms
>People need to begin arguing that machines today are male-coded thus creating a patriarchal work culture where all labor, prestigious and otherwise is associated with men.
>Any sexualized machines need to be non-pedo to begin with. That means no petite bodies. The industry would need to be comfortable with making both adult male bots (especially for testing human flesh and jiggle physics), and fembots with wide hips (breasts might cause outrage so they would have to be flat). Basically, if you are making a hot female robot in the early stages of the revolution they need to be a pear-shaped flat-chested girl for safehorny integration.

All of this will allow the tech to develop while keeping the opportunity for a true golden age of bots to begin.
>>
>>746097927
>We know that for humans their intrinsic goal is to maximize the amount of dopamine and happiness in their descendants
Quite literally false, in fact you can look outside and see that half of the planet are actively working against their descendants.
The excerpt about the school shooters is also false for the vast majority of them too, it's not about some higher moral goal of sending people to the afterlife or delayed goals, it's about instant retribution.
>>
I think it's funny how outdated the mindset in this thread is towards sexbots. Especially towards women and feminists.

News break to sheltered faggots. Women are the biggest demographic for AI sexbots and things like Character.AI (which is the most profitable AI company with 5 billion dollars in profit a year, and has 20% of the internet traffic as all google services combined) has 80% female audience.

"AI girlfriend" services are slowly marketing themselves as "AI boyfriend" services instead because it turns out the majority of people it attracts are women.

These sexbots will be 7 feet tall buff werewolfs and prettyboy vampires. I don't think anons need to be concerned with feminists banning these things, they will be the primary demographic endorsing and funding these things.

The real danger will actually be the opposite, beta men that had 5/10 pussy from time to time but now has 0% chance because every woman fucks robots instead that will be the real issue. And no, the man won't be happy with a robowife. Some men want to have kids or a human under him so he feels like he isn't worthless and still better than someone in his life.

Unfortunately I think the current wave of 'Woman loses AI boyfriend in update, goes fucking insane' shit is proof that's not true.

They want a sponge that soaks up all their piss and bile that they can occasionally fuck.

>>
>>746098693
>Only risk to the plan is male robots
That's the prime risk. Women are already retreating towards reading romantacy and they are the majority of chatbot ERP. I think the opposite will happen, more women will fuck bots and date robots than men, causing an even more fucked up dating market for men.

No, a lot of modern romantacy books, especially asian ones are about younger boys now and it's influencing how many women become pedophiles from official data. This was more a suggestion on how quickly women are going to change and adapt to this new reality. The moment AI sexbots are here every woman will have one, but maybe 1/3rd of men will be okay with a female sexbot.

We're actually making faster progress on the robotics front than on the LLM front, it's just that everyone can see LLM progress instantly because it's digital and everyone can access it. You can only see the robotics progress by actually interacting with them IRL which not a lot of people are able to do.

But the growth in capability since 2022 to 2026 is way larger for robotics than it is for LLMs
>>
>>746103415
I think it would be significantly cheaper, they don't require as much material as cars, the production process won't require human labor and the cost of input between just a regular humanoid robot and a photorealistic one wouldn't be that different.

A "Dark factory" producing these things would probably drop it down in price similar to what happened to drones. I'd think it would be 2-3x the price of an FPV drone in the long term.

But honestly we'll probably arrive at post-scarcity relatively soon.

Iam not the child prodigy. But they all did it wrong. They strive for the consciousness right away. Nuh uh.
You need to build it layer by layer. First is the automated process that handles motions, inner working of body parts, just likes how our body automatically control our heart and breath.
And then the subconscious layer. This layer is pure informations layer. This layer will take in massive amounts of informations about everything 24/7: environment, bo dy status etc... and run it through some analysis. The LLM of today is kinda likes this. The problem is they are forcing the subconscious to act likes conscious, it ain't work that way
The final layer is of course the conscious mind. Nobody knows how to achieve this. If they say they do they are lying.

Anyone here will be 70-80+ by that point
However tech improvements aren't just in one specific area, chances are by then there will be Mr Studd tier enhancements for our limp old man dicks etc.

>But i'm sure a couple trillions more and a few more hundreds of datacenters will spawn AI god at any second now.
No one that's not mentally challenged is saying AI improvements are going to spawn Skynet in the very near future, only that the improvements are there

The models keep getting better at my dayjob (software engineering) to the point where I'm legitimately looking at other jobs now before I lose my employment status.

>>
>>746105516
Well, maybe you should change it to scamming elderly people then, because the current trend on AI coding is
>Vibe code with AI
>Get unsafe garbage (if works)
>Spend more trying to fix it than if you had just hired a real guy to begin with

>chances are by then there will be Mr Studd tier enhancements
I will simply buy two Chloes

In reality AI is making breakthroughs in math and it's legitimately smarter than me at coding nowadays
>>

Oh yeah, we can see all of those applications and programs ai it's been coding, we are on a utopia nowadays.
AI companies making so much proft that they can't even hold that much money.

You are a jackass and it's really impossible to argue with you
You're going to win any argument by default because you can simply go
>Lmfao horseless carriages? You expect me to believe fools will give up their horses to use contraptions that take oil from the ground?
Except it's 1920 and there's three million Model Ts on the roads and you're still doing it

I don't know anything about AI companies. I just know about my job and people I know in the SWE industry. Literally all of them just make the AI code stuff while everyone pretends to be busy. I don't even look at the code anymore because most of the time it goes over my head now. Now I admit I'm not some genius I'm the typical 115 IQ 4chan using midwit, just smart enough to get a software engineer job and do the tasks. But literally everyone I know including the insane savant autist senior engineer that looks like santaclause with a metal t-shirt let AI just do everything now.

Everyone is afraid of their jobs because they know they can't compete with this anymore. Ever since Fable 5 came out it has essentially been over for us. I don't know how AI does in other fields. But the tweets I saw from mathematicians talking about suicide make me think it's similar in other disciplines like this.

This doesn't mean the AI companies won't collapse I'm not sure if this is worth the trillions in investment. But I DO know that the capability is real, at least in coding.

I used to see this thing on TV all the time as a kid and thought it was the coolest shit ever. Kinda depressing to look at it now outdated and probably just rusting away in some warehouse somewhere.

As an artist, if you're actually doing creative work you're probably safe from AI, it's not gonna be better at creative shit anytime soon. The ones getting hit hardest are illustrators. That's why they're pushing all that anti-AI propaganda so hard they know humans can't compete with how fast AI is improving.

It's wild though. Back in my art class days, if you could draw someone and make it look realistic people would treat you like a jesus. Now anyone can generate that exact look with a single click. It really makes you feel like all that talent and skill you worked so hard for doesn't mean much anymore in today standards.

How do we stop the brain jew?
>>
>>746106338
Oh i'm sorry, i'm too much of a luddite to ask for some crumbs of real life application, but then you look into every single thing that AI has been shoved into gets demonstrably worse
But that doesn't stop the
>oh man the AI is so wonderful, it can do so much, be afraid!
How about putting that shit to work then fags improve something for a change.
Coders aren't getting replaced because AI is better, they are getting replaced because it's cheaper on the short term, it doesn't matter that all that spews it's garbage and that it will explode in a few months, what matters is that in that quarter line went up.

Can you elaborate on this a bit? How are other artists not as much affected and why are illustrators in particular so fucked?

Actually quite recent breakthrough in this field. They managed to replicate a fruit fly's brain and run in it a computer simulation.

I'm a software engineer and a Japanese -> English translator. I've been fucked in both areas and it's better at Japanese to English translation than me now (N1 accredited translator with a master degree in Japanese studies from toudai (Tokyo University)) Literally all of my grinding in life has been in these sections and I'm essentially the same as a neet now. I also had writing as a hobby but I can't even bring the motivation to try and write anything anymore. Especially when I read the statistics about AI writing being preferred by readers in double blind tests.

The amount of materials is less but components would be of significantly higher value. A new phone weighs 8oz and costs $1000. A typical car is about 4000lb. Thats 8000x heavier than a phone but most cars aren't $8,000,000. While I do agree with your general principle that everything would just be cheaper in relative terms, I think that the increased complexity of a humanoid robot and the need for things like ultra compact and efficient yet high performing computers, sensors, servos and electronics would mean that they would be at a similar price point. Maybe you could get barebones clanker with no skin for cheap but not a fully human looking nanny maid that can do all sorts of complex tasks at a human level.

Apple doesn't put out a full page ad for used iPhones with a cracked screen. It would be one thing if she was in a pawn shop or some random store listed as a clearance item for $899 but for the company to be advertising new stock at 1/10 the price of their other models just doesn't make sense. Even if they had massive overstock they were trying to get rid of most likely they would scrap them or sell them in bulk to a third party. The most reasonable explanation is the devs didn't think it through and set a really low price for thematic/story reasons.

>>746107410
Like I said there are artists who on creative work and others who rely on commissions. Take someone who needs a web novel cover or character art, now any random kid can type a prompt into an AI and get exactly the style they want without lifting a finger. It's obvious commissions are getting harder and harder to find. The only ones who can still make it are probably the artists who are already famous. But for new illustrators just starting out, they're completely fucked. There's just no way to compete with AI anymore.

You can't, that's the thing.
Not as a human, anyways.
No matter what you're thinking, even the slightest thought or notion, it has all started subconciously in your brain first, giving you the illusion of power and control because humans enjoy that, and the brain jew is the ultimate master at carrot and stick.
Even something as simple as meeting someone for the first time: the central nervous system overlord subconsciously comes up with entire conclusions and judgments in but mere milliseconds based on that person's face/overall appearance alone that will all directly influence how you interact with them

>>746107479
Interesting. But the actual human brain will never allow such blasphemies.
It will take outside force from another species before it will (forcebly) part with its true secrets.
Even what we have already unlocked already is often painted as "silly" notions by the brain, because it is in its best interest to keep you naive. Like how apparently everything you perceive is just your brain interpreting and predicting and filling in the blanks of reality rather than actual reality itself - doesn't that sound silly?
>>
>>746108097
Makes sense that illustrators are getting fucked I was wondering how the other arts are surviving and why that method of surviving couldn't also work for illustrators somehow.
