The one in 2 is irrelevant. Just smack it with the Contact Beam's special alt fire.

Sonic Adventure
>>

SCPCB (most enemies) and TBoI: Repentance (twice)
>>
Which games actually do this well besides Resident Evil 2 Remake and Alien Isolation?

>implying RE2R does it well
I haven't played Alien Isolation but in RE2R, Mr. X is nothing but an annoyance requiring you to run a lap of the building before you can go back to what you were trying to do.

>games named in the thread are just horror slop

Yes, it's something usually associated with the horror genre, retard.
>>
>>746061618
Dead Space had a pretty cool version of this with an endlessly regenerating enemy that is unkillable by conventional means. You can shoot off its limbs to slow it down, but it is not going to give up.

>only shows up 3 times

Probably none because it just turns into a chore. In Abiotic Factor it was cool the first couple of times you saw it and then you realize you're gonna have to deal with it for the rest of the game
>>
>>746062173
Abiotic factor even gives you a second one near the end of the game and forces you to farm their radioactive shit to craft end game items.
You can trap them in gay baby jail but it takes a very specific set up, plus a farm, plus access to water to keep them contained.

you do eventually kill it too
>>
>>746059161
Not him, but there are A LOT of games with this mechanic. It's been around since the 80s at least.
First two that come to mind for me are Wizardry IV: Return of Werdna and Hellknight/Dark Messiah.
