Old video game systems have now become "status symbols" thanks to social media influencers. Now rich normies who have too much money to spend, who don't even care about Nintendo or video games, see their favorite influencer post about why they need to own a 3DS and then proceed to buy all these systems up so they can post their "Retro video game collection" LARP for TikTok clout and Reddit upvotes. Then the prices sky-rocket because these normies are driving up the demand and paying the inflated prices that greedy resellers and retro game stores are asking for. I guess this isn't a problem necessarily specific to the 3DS but more so just all old video game systems now in general, but it's getting really bad the most for the 3DS.Just another case of normies ruining things as usual.

I tried that for a while, it did kinda work (it seemed to anyway) after leaving it like that for a few days but I was hesitant to just let that shit rip for weeks because it's just not good for the screen's health long term. Plus I think it's more noticeable if it's super yellow, mine was only a little yellowed so the difference was pretty minor.
