I'm too autistic for this game in particular. in every playthrough i do I'll spend the first night grinding logs and completely clearing the field. Which is just because it's technically optimal because of the infinite nights.

I love those early games which are sort of weird, not cartoony. I have a particular fondness for HM3 on the GBC which just has a ton of weird mechanics, the mermaid, you being on an island and so have less access to stores and such. I think the series really crashed when they made FoMT, which was a good but the first one that really was just rarifying what came before instead of being weird.
There's been odd games since then, but FoMT seems like how the series would become.
