What happened to bright green and blue in games. The late 90s' through the early 2000's were full of bright, tropical games. Crysis was kind of the last gasp of pretty tropical games while the brown/yellow bloom filters were taking over on 360/PS3. Now every game is either a red/blue synthwave aesthetic, or some weird alien purple/pink thing.

Saturation was outlawed, anti-soul gas is now mandatory. Probably has something to do with changes in displays and the move to PBR

Stuff like this. The first two Horizon games looked fine, but this new on looks like a mess. Same with the new Halo remaster.

Anti-soul is great, because every time one of you faggots goes "ZOMG SOVL," it's always retarded jank.

Having grown up in a tropical area myself (southeast Florida), the tropical vibe of those games is pretty exaggerated to the point of almost being misleading. When I was a little kid, my family would have barbecues on the beach every weekend. Sometimes visiting my cousins in Key Biscayne, sometimes my grandparents in Hallandale Beach, sometimes at home in Dania. The water was darker, the palm trees were a much deeper shade of green, there were tons of bushes and messy brush to navigate around, the sand was never so perfectly white.

Also, it rained constantly. Like practically a coin flip on any given day if it was going to be clear skies or a thunderstorm, especially in the summer.

If real women are an unrealistic depiction of beauty, then real beaches are an unrealistic depiction of beach life.

Blame Ridley scott and hbo, games used to just copy the film and tv industry until they became even more creatively bankrupt.
