I've never played either of these. do mods currently work and what's the best/easiest way to mod? I have a NAS but my SSD is only like 475 gb max and that's if I try to clear everything off of it

Just quit while your ahead

why?

You’re just years too late anon and you’re barking up the wrong tree. You’re going to go deep into a cycle where you’re modding the game more than playing it. Even if you eventually create the mod list of your dreams (you won’t) you’ll feel nothing because the experience of you’ll have turned the joy of getting immersed into an exercise in tech support and software qa. You’ll dive in to fix more or mod more thing but you’ll never actually enjoy the game.
You had to be there in 2011 to actual enjoy this shit in its time, everyone to this day is just a tech autist or chasing the high they had in their childhood playing Skyrim 15 years ago which they’ll never find

Neither of these games are very good, go for fallout nv or oblivion or any other rpg instead.

Just play Morrowind with one of the I heart vanilla modlists. A better experience than you'll get with Skyrim

Wabbajack is the way to go these days for a newcomer, it'll take weeks to do >>746075631

I can tell you as someone who was deep into Skyrim modding around when special edition came out.

Don’t.
Buy the game and either play vanilla or use Wabbajack and find a modpack you like.
I kept getting into this cycle of spending 100s hours modding the game to how I want it then spending only 2 hours playing it.
It’s just not worth it now when modpack installers exist.
If you want to then go ahead really.

Winners don't do mods. Those are great games, play them vanilla.

Fallout 4 is exceptionally easy to mod - just use the vortex mod manager from Nexus, that covers basically fucking everything, fire-and-forget
problem is checking build compatibility due to update nonsense, but you can usually downgrade to a previous version in pretty short order with the right directions
also a lot of the mods are heavily DLC dependent

I have literally ZERO interest in Tod's sloppa all I want to do is play porn mods and maybe see the freedom trail/boston stuff in fallout 4

>just use the vortex mod manager from Nexus
Lmfao don't listen to this absolute retard. MO2 is the only proper choice.
>>
>>746076093
vortex is better than mod manager2?
>>746076093
>>746075870
thanks
>>
>>746076160
what's the difference?
>>
>>746076172
in my experience it's easier
I don't know about "better", but if you're a casual modder that doesn't want to fine-tune everything and just wants to dump the coolest shit on the nexus into the game then it'll cover your needs 99.9% of the time
>>
>>746076213
MO2 allows for better control, Vortex is the flashier and 'official' tool for the noobs. It's no coincidence that Wabbajack lists all use MO2, the mod collections on nexus are often haphazardly put together and sometimes they don't even bother with proper mod conflict solving (though granted this is probably less of an issue these days for the most popular ones, I'd imagine).
>>746076126
Then check out Wasteland of Depravity, it's about the best choice these days imo. Mind you, Skyrim porn mods are just better and more varied overall but FO4 has some ok ones too. WoD author also has a Skyrim list he maintains.

>if you're a casual modder that doesn't want to fine-tune everything and just wants to dump the coolest shit on the nexus into the game
Do you even do basic xedit to check for and fix mod conflicts? Or does your "coolest shit" only involve overpowered weapons ripped from CoD?

thanks

I know how to mod BG3 and I know it well enough that I can mod people's mods
