I've never played either of these. do mods currently work and what's the best/easiest way to mod? I have a NAS but my SSD is only like 475 gb max and that's if I try to clear everything off of it

I kept getting into this cycle of spending 100s hours modding the game to how I want it then spending only 2 hours playing it. It’s just not worth it now when modpack installers exist.
