what was his name again
>>
>>746076063
SIR HENRY MOTHERFUCKER
Henry Cooldown
I haven't played TSA or NMH3 yet if they retcon his name somehow
>>
>>746076138
wrong. it's "Just Jetted" which is a rad name the more you think about it.
>>
despite his transformation in 3, i still want to play as him.
[cross-reaper death spiral]

Harry Chilllow
>>746077067
I wanted him to get a spinoff game because I wanted what was actually going with him. That and a Shinobu game.
>>
>>746076063
Hardcore Henry.
They're saying he's the only cuck to have aura.

Should I replay killer7, Shadows of the Damned, NMH1 and NMH2, and complete Killer is Dead before playing TSA and NMH3? Don't Dan Smith and Garcia appear in TSA? Or should I just say fuck it and play TSA and NMH3? I also got to floor 34 in Let It Die 1.

I also kind of want to complete Black Knight Sword (already beat Sine Mora, once was enough) and Ranko's Longest Day even though I'm sure they have nothing to do with any of it.

t. anon who was defending NMH pre-release on /v/ and who owns a 1 of 200 signed copy of the Shadows of the Damned OST (I made this image for the Brawl threads too)
>>
>>746078140
Garcian appears in NMH1, there's a callback for the fans.

Ah, eh, do whatever. Killer7, good, The Silver Case, good but pacing problems, 25th Case good but pacing problems in the opposite direction it's too fast to really absorb what's going on, otherwise do whatever you want.
>>
>>746078354
I meant Garcia Hotspur from Shadows of the Damned, not Garcian. I thought both him and Dan Smith appeared in Travis Strikes Again.
>>
>>746078435
Well fucking Kamui appears in Strikes Again as a major character so rev up them peepers and get reading.
I mean everyone appears in Travis Strikes Again and still gets less screentime than the fucking Hotline Miami fan level so do whatever you want.

Henry Stargazer
>>
>>746076063
Still a shame Quinton got fucked over by false accusations and NMH's chickened out and replaced him.
>>
Should I bother with TSA and NMH3 if I absolutely hated NMH2? Things I didn't like were : Tone of the second game, obvious cut content, 8bit games replacing everything and bosses were too easy.
>>
The reason I can't take Atkin Downes seriously is because I can't un-see Travis Touchdown when he voices anyone else

Compared to NMH1 I'd say I hated NMH2 and the changes it made as well.
Now here's my almost entirely ignorant but more informed than you attempt at advice, having not played much of either but at least having an idea of the games: TSA is entirely mini-game style content afaik. Not 8bit games but like isometric hash and slash minigame shit (this is for a reason relating to internal issues with Grasshopper and their inevitable "split" relating to the development of Let It Die and their prior owners). I also haven't played more than an hour or two of NMH3 but it is absolutely fucking insane stylistically and seemingly only gets more inane as time goes on. There's a segment later done entirely by the animation studio responsible for Gal-o Sengan and Poppu Teppiku segments in Pop Team Epic. An insane blend of genres and styles and as irreverent and "punk" as ever.

There is a "FUCK RACISM" shirt in NMH3 (because Suda is friends with some Japanese guy whose entire clothing brand has the slogan "FUCK RACISM") if that's a deal breaker. You know /v/ fucking bandwagoned on that shit hard. Now, I never expected Suda to be into esoteric fascism like me, so I may be able to overlook it.

oh man I really want to play Romeo Must Die, too. I played the first level and I already know it's possibly even more insane.
>>
>>746080195
Fuck no
3 was one of the most disappointing games I've ever played and I fucking hated 2. I think I might have hated 3 even more. It was just so utterly devoid of any and all charm or worthwhile style, it felt like a parody of itself and the gameplay sucked dick too.
NMH should have ended at 1.
>>
>>746081407
Never played TF2. My first introduction to him was NMH and it basically ruined Kazuhira Miller for me

I don't get how a "fan of No More Heroes and/or Suda51" hates this or considers it "devoid of charm" and "devoid of worthwhile style".

i dont even consider myself a fan despite having played all 4 games. i think at a time i was deluding myself into liking the games but ive come to realize there are 2 terrible nmh games, one halfway decent game and one okay game. its not a good franchise at all.

Well to me NMH3 (and Romeo Must Die) feels like suda51 left for a while on a mission to find himself and came back 100% reinvigorated and fully committed to going as hard as he possibly could in the direction he always wanted, which is like pure passion driven, punk rock, pop-art pastiche.
>>
>>746082369
see what i always hear from people that dickride suda is what a hecking passionate artiste he is but no one ever points out how dogshit his video games are as video games
if you cant convey your artistic vision and make a good video game simultaneously, then you failed as an artist and as a game dev. pick a different medium.
>>
>>746078140
you should play all of his games including (and especially) The Silver Case series before TSA and NMH3
but TSA feels like a weird little indie game and NMH3 sucks ass so don't have high expectations
>>
>>746082465
Yeah if the gameplay is serviceable I don't give a fuck because I'm not a nigger /v/faggot. and I've been calling people like you a nigger on /v/ since 2006 at least! I also enjoyed Drakengard 1!

The idea that the combat in No More Heroes 3 is "bad" is retarded. So is the idea that Killer is Dead has bad gameplay. So is the idea that TSA has bad gameplay. Or that Shadows of the Damned isn't a perfectly good over the shoulder style shooter. Something is more than the pure sum of its parts. You look at everything like a faggot autist.
>>
>>746082180
notice how you're posting cutscenes and not the game, and the majority of the cutscenes are also boring, ugly and not stylistic at all
NMH3 is barely even a game, this shit doesn't even have any stages. I don't understand how anyone can defend this abomination. How can you play TSC and Killer7 then go "yeah NMH3 is better, this is the one that has style", are you fucking retarded
>>
>>746082571
>well i happen to like the taste of shit so take that!
congrats i guess
sudafags make kojimafags look perfectly sane by contrast man. theyll conjure up literally any cope to defend the dogshit gameplay in 98% of grasshopper games
>>
>>746080195
As basically an outsider who liked 1 and found 2 passable as like a fanservice spinoff I thought 3 was a shite game. If you like being subjected to this creator sniffing his own farts and waowing at being subverted then I suppose it might be good but as a consumer I'm just glad I pirated this one.
>>
urgh. my feelings are hurt >_<
>>
>>746082571
Not him but you're a retard, NMH3 has dogshit combat which is kind of surprising because TSA is probably one of the best games he has made but instead of polishing the chip system, he dumbed it down and kept the jump button despite it only being used to dodge a few moves in the entire game. The game could also have actual levels or enemy variety but because he has to appeal to retards like you instead the game has a shovelware tier world map with poop minigames.
>>
>>746082571
the difference is Drakengard 1 is actually good. Killer is Dead also has good gameplay. TSA is also good for what it is. NMH3 isn't, it's just a bad, unfinished game. Shadows of the Damned is also shit and most of that wasn't even Suda but some latinx faggot EA put in charge instead so idk why you'd even mention that
>>
>>746082180
No offense, but I'm really starting to think that most people just play Suda's game for "lol so random" and shurg off any crituque because of "artistic vision". I just seen NMH1 as something it was probably never intended to be, I'm also really new to SUDA and his games btw, currently playing Killer is Dead and i think its fun.
>>
nice I'm glad the yearly NMH thread turned into this typical /v/ shitflinging bullshit
>>
>>746082776
>why isnt everyone unanimously glazing my favorite shit series?!
im sure theres a subreddit that specializes in sucking suda's dick you could enjoy
>>
>>746080195
TSA is like Suda's personal project, it was made by a very small team so you can feel his personal touches. It doesn't play or feel like NMH at all, it's its own thing. Give it a shot
3 is bad

i fuckin preordered that shit, i fell for the hype so damn hard. nmh3 and smtv blackpilled me so damn hard i sold my switch after beating the latter. my disappointment was truly immeasurable
>>
>>746082885
I feel you, I went with the mindset of "it's a Suda game so if it's just okay but unique we're good" and it still managed to disappoint me. I don't look forward releases anymore and thinking back Nmh3 and Rune factory 5 were the games that blackpilled me, maybe Switch is just that cursed.
>>
>>746082759
97% of people would not agree with this and 99.9% of /v/ users would speak as derisively to you for liking it let alone calling it "actually good" as you and the others are now speaking over someone praising NMH3 or Suda's gameplay in general. They'd call you a performative faggot who doesn't care about gameplay at all/"loves eating shit".

>>746083091
did you try Romeo Must Die yet?
>>
I played NMH1&2, and I don't feel like picking up Travis strikes again. Am I missing anything out if I pick up 3?
>>
>>746083780
yeah, a good game
NMH3 is a direct sequel to TSA and the story won't make any sense if you skip it
>>
>>746076063

he's literally the simp, also a cuck and an MCU fag
>>
>>746083780
>X character is alive again because Travis went into a cursed, wish-granting videogame console developed by the same scientist who created the game console from LET IT DIE
>>
>>746083834
>NMH3 is a direct sequel to TSA and the story won't make any sense if you skip it
And Travis Strikes Again won't make any sense if you don't play The Silver Case, 25th Ward, Killer is Dead, Lollipop Chainsaw and Shadows of the Damned
>>
>>746082369
Suda did everything but reinvigorate during the NMH2 to NMH3 gap, if anything he went more corporate with TSA being the outlier. Suda was passionate during the Wii and earlier eras but now he's just another boomer retard that references Kamen Rider in interviews for no reason and doesn't even understand what made his old games good.
>>
>>746084318
>The Silver Case, 25th Ward, Killer is Dead, Lollipop Chainsaw and Shadows of the Damned
ah..... I'm at 2 and a half out of 5......
Is Silver Case the one that starts with the visual novel style presentation of like a detective car pursuing someone or something? I think I pirated it and fired it up very briefly when it came out on PC. I remember thinking "damn this is actually intriguing I need to save this and play it for real when I have time" and never got around to it.
>>
>>746084318
you just reminded me of when everyone thought nmh3 would be a giant knowledge check of suda's past games but then it turned out to be some half baked not the boys bullshit where they reference a bunch of movies and other better video games
>>
>>746084443
yeah
>>
NMH3 felt like an unfinished game desu
