Certain characters had way more tools with no drawbacks and some moves had hit boxes that would go behind you making them extremely safe to do. The actual tag systems were neat but it didn't matter when the roster was tiny and then even smaller because there were only so many that were viable in said roster.Tokon, similarly, is pretty well received but the horrible network issues killed it on PC meaning they had to drop Marvel licencing money only to have a fighting game you can only play on PSV, the ball and gun gamer zone.I don't think fighting games are dead there's just been a couple of shit ones and kneecapped others. Plus the fighting game development meta of character seasons and guests kinda sucks.
