I love them all (I still go see Hackett whenever he comes to my city for a concert), but Gabriel was a faggot who only found a little peace over time and through his solo career, because basically he could boss everyone around without having to compromise.

Writing credits point to Tony Banks being the one really pushing Genesis to a commercial sound because it was his only pathway to stardom seeing that he had the absolute worst solo output of any ex-Genesis member, including stage-shy Anthony Phillips.
