>>746097702You don't need the DLC, the DLC is good, but the base game is enough to start with the DLC just adds 2 new characters to play as + 2 new nightlords and a different map.Base game is enough to start. As for tips. Just have fun, playing with randoms is good fun especially if you are a noob just jump in and suck at the game and die on day 1 and 2 and fail. to be honest I don't think there are that many noobs playing now so if you play the base game with randoms you might just end up getting carried. Also don't play solo, or if you do play solo just do it to get a feel for the game, the game is best played multiplayer and is significantly easier multiplayer, there is scaling that makes the game easier in solo but its still really hard because unlike elden ring, they have tuned all the npcs in the game to be hyper aggressive so that fights don't last long. Also a big difference between NR and ER is that you can pretty much avoid killing most mobs its a waste of time, other than at low levels to get your first 1 or 2 levels you want to focus on field bosses for dormant powers. Also Wylder is probably the easiest character to start with.

My favorite spawn area is the north-east corner where you can end up with level 7 just of the first POI.Scholar and Undertaker are both extremely fun to play as. Scholar can upgrade items, his ult is a walking nuke that can decimate entire areas while healing the party, and he can parry attacks aimed at teammates from afar. Undertaker practically has 2-3 stamina bars, has a relic that is absurdly busted for how much it can buff her, and is a bdsm nun with a fetish for licking walls.The new bosses are kinda fun, but the difficulty curve on the D1 and D2 bosses are a bit busted. I die to fucking Mohg and Artorias more than the actual night lords. Balancer relics are best in slot if you wanna use Ashes of War.

Then do the 2nd lobster at the far waterfall. If you're in d5 and you get any red variants you're gonna be leaving the lake at level 7. After that, take the jump pad up to see if theres a crystal on the left, then go to the right where the church/rise usually use and theres almost always a minor field boss there too.Here's a couple of day 1 routes of random seeds. You kinda just follow the edges. Hit up any extra rises, the duplicator, and super shop if they spawn.
