Filled with Masonic/Templar and historic Assassination orders/groups. You'd only say it sucked if you grew up playing Zelda or similar shit. Up until, and including Black Flag it was a really solid franchise. Unity showed promise with extremely good parkour, but it also started showing rot in Ubisoft ranks.
