No. Alcohol is fun from time to time but if you rely on it too much for recreation then it will just distract you from your problems and the things you don't like about life while those things get steadily worse, and then eventually you will run out of money or your health will get bad enough that you'll have to stop for a while and when you do you'll be greeted with all those problems you had before but they'll be way worse than you remember. If you're young then spending a year or two partying with others or alone is not that big of a deal, but do not let it become your lifestyle past the age of 23-24 or you'll regret it. Alcohol makes you forget about tomorrow but tomorrow still comes whether you plan for it or not.
