Regardless of what happens in Revelation it will be defended to the death by people who would have loved it no matter what. All they want is more time with the characters. It doesn't matter if it's tedious, boring, nonsensical, badly written, insulting to their intelligence, utter trash. They could make a 100 hour game set in Seventh Heaven and they'd like it, because they get more time with the characters. At some point fans like them became obsessed with the characters, but don't actually care about the story or the game they're in.
