You retards don't understand how bad that would be. Without investors video games would be made as hobbyist entertainment projects. The remaining smaller developers in the space would be making video games without consulting stakeholders. Without stakeholders they wouldn't be forced to extract the maximum viable wealth from their projects at any cost. Games would be for entertainment and not FOR MONEY.

It'd be nice to see the game eat shit and cause a massive shift in the game industry, but that's not going to happen. Video games, and especially GTA of all series, are simply too big. The game is going to be an astounding success. It is THE normalfag game, everybody's heard of it, everybody's going to buy it. Hell, like 75% of the people buying it aren't even gonna finish it. They're just buying it because it's GTA.

It's an industry full people who are there only because it's profitable, so what we have is enormous, bloated, lumbering projects that cost hundreds of millions of dollars and take decades to make. If the industry crashes we'll be left only with the people who actually want to stay. It's exactly the same as the movie industry.
