>>746488179>blue trim instead of blackWhy?
>>746488686It's accurate to the books
>>746488686Ditto
>>746489197>>746489241Well what do you know, you really do learn something new every day.
>>746489324James lacks the blue trim in the TV show for the same he lacks his original all-black paint scheme when he was first introduced. The producers were working on a limited budget and schedule and swapping out the trims was deemed unnecessary.
>>746488179His tender might be derailed.
>>746489863What makes you say that?
>>746490347probably because the locomotive does not appear flush with the platform edge

>fan of Thomas since 1989>enjoy HL2 fan theory vidsWhat the fuck is this thread
>>746488179lmao the guy's bag made me think he was pregnant too. it even has the baby bump to it
>>746488179>thomas threadFUCK YEAH I LOVE THOMAS! Not the new show though, it fucking sucks balls. More of the same from AEG but with muh nostalgia bait. Like wow, Lucky's Yard from Tugs, that's neat but if the voices and writing are fucking insufferable then... Also Tugs takes place in the US, so putting stuff from it in the UK feels weird imo. Like it's not egregious but still. Also if they really wanted to they could emulate the look of the model series in CGI, but they didn't. That blows, I might have actually wanted to watch it sorta.

>>746488179I probably played a Gmod server just like this 15 years ago
>>746491841>Not the new show though, it fucking sucks balls. The show basically fell off a cliff the moment they ran out of Awdry's books to adopt. Probably because the writers weren't as autistic about trains as he was (which meant that all of the stories were grounded in reality, many were based on actual events).
>>746492101Eh, nah. It didn't really fall down a cliff, it slid down a steep hill beginning after Magic Railroad, going down more and more until it hit a slight incline in season 18, before finally sliding off a 90 degree cliff in season 21. It has continued falling deeper and deeper ever since then.
>Highway 17
>>746492223The stories became more outrageous, fanciful, and disconnected with actual operations of a railway (which was a key to its original premise) as time went on. They also doubled down on typecasting the characters to the point of self-caricature>Percy - retard>James - asshole>Gordon - bigger asshole
>>746489641>>746488686>>746489324based autists
>>746492425I will say that I'm probably biased. Season 5 is my second favorite season, right behind season 3, so I include it with the classic Awdry seasons.

>Travel the world>…and see catsNow that’s effective marketing
>>746492504Suit yourself
>>746492483Seasons 5 and 6 are pretty good on their own. But you can definitely tell that the writers were starting to struggle with filling Awdry's shoes.Better View for Gordon is kino though
>Direct Intervention (the very end of the level)
>>746488179You really didn't have to post this shit
>>746493185I disagreeThis was something we NEEDED to see
>>746492101I was annoyed that the new game looks like the soulless CGI cartoon instead of the old school one. Imagine how much cooler it would have been.
>>746493746I'm gonna guess that they're recycling a lot of the CGI show assets in Train Sim World's engine

I can't do logistics and play workers and resources and I can't stand the non-gameplay of pushing the throttle up and down of a train sim.I just like watching the choo choos. The closest I can get to happiness is riding trains in open world games.
>>746501830>>746493962
>>746501830Unironically play Lionel Train Town. It's basically a puzzle/math/trivia game but you play with toy trains instead. Game has a great sense of humor too.
Great thread
