Anons say Disco Elysium is a sincere game but playing through it you would get moments where the game kinda just fumbles the vibe of the story. I would be enjoying one section where it was genuinely being sincere in trying to tell a story but then it was like the writers got worried that writing wouldn't land so you would get some really unfunny joke tossed in our out of place language. Its been years since I played it so I can't remember specific examples but it really bothered me.
Out of all the games released in recent years, Disco is one of the few that wears everything on its fucking sleeve. Might as well say Planescape or Deus Ex would be better just because>muh JapanGo fuck yourself.
