I know someone did a search for source code files like .c, pdb, etc. But it may be worth searching for common archive formats like .zip, .rar, .tar, .gz, ,.arc. etc for files too. Maybe some of the more obscure development related stuff like .obj, "svn", etc.

Has anyone shared the file that tracks all the file names/extensions, or know the means to generate it?

Valve didn't protect an API in their old content servers before migrating them and it was found through a site that was publicly available for some time. No actual hacking involved so the legal implications are murky.

i see people bringing up Quakecon, but I was there, we used LAN not Steam guys
any build for the game from that time would be whatever Valve was sent by TRS before they started making changes

what Tyler fails to understand is that he was patient 0 for that beta build of hlx a month after release, of course Valve was gonna take issue with that if he ended up leaking it publically
He thinks Valve ( or one of the third parties that had files compromised in this ) is gonna punish everyone tangentially involved in this when thats just a waste of corporate time.

Hes made a million nothing-burger videos talking about hl3 but he did manage to make some connections at valve. I have had co-workers like that, where they get told something in confidence and then almost instantly tell everyone else. Never understood why they do that, it is much better to know something ahead of time so you can react to it. You will never be told information like that if you are a known blabbermouth and will have less time to successfully react if everyone else is also reacting at the same time.

The TL;DR on why there's no interesting shit and why things are so slow is because it seems Steam2 was used mainly for multiplayer and online Steam components testing. Valve used it as a server for playtests and other things to share within the office, so we get a lot of stuff from them, but all multiplayer related stuff only. Everything else is either near finished builds of games, some variety of small cut content, or the goose of cancelled or very early games. This is all taking a long time because the tranny who runs it doesn't want to expand the server and instead wants mirrors. It also takes a while because nothing is labeled so its a game of educated guesses to find needles in haystacks.

If you're a Valve fan, everything interesting has been found already. There's no Episode 3 content that we don't already have minus a new weapon model.

Prospero is the very first game Valve worked on aside from Half-Life. It's about the library of worlds made from officially created levels and user-created ones. In a way the concept became the foundation of why Steam came about.
>>
>>746608748
Years ago, Tyler McVicker and his modding team were looking into Gunman Chronicles cut content. This was at a time when the rights situation was still a mystery (literally we only figured out the actual issues behind it a few months ago) so they reached out to a Valve employee. Said Valve employee had zero concept of what they were talking about but wanted to help, so they sent one of the members a screenshot of a file listing (pic related) and asked where that might be in the list. There's so much shit in here that is cut content it is almost comical. Prospero is Valve's original first game that eventually got superseded by Half-Life, Quiver is the old codename for Half-Life, TF2 is specifically Brotherhood of Arms, HL2 is the old Gold Source build. It's crazy. All of this stuff is stuff that is not out there at all and would be crazy just to peak at.

Tyler and the team's idea was to try and casually see what was in the other files, but were so retarded that eventually nothing happened and the Valve employee stopped responding. This story gets passed around a bit but you aren't allowed to talk about it because it's Tyler and also the people involved are trannies.
>>
>>746610036
Huh. If it were a screenshot from a Valve employee, that means no one actually has access to this?
>>
>>746584385
Anons I was digging through the Portal 2 beta files and I found this... https://youtu.be/WFGzIvojXto

>>
>>746610036
I stopped caring about Tyler mcnigger after like 2017 but every time I read something new about him it is so embarrassingly stupid that makes me wonder why he hasn't gotten an actual job yet or kicked the chair.
>>
>>746610296
Correct. No one has access to this and it is likely that this is a sole server rather than something hosted on a network given the older interface. It's why Tyler is stupid for not being able to even get another screenshot of any other folder.

The reason there's nothing of note aside from some early Portal stuff is because these are depots that were issued to players who installed a game. If you installed any game listed in this leak between idk 200-something, whenever Steam launched, and May 2013, the files in this leak are what got installed on your computer. Each depot has a number of manifests. Each manifest is a patch that was issued over time. Manifest 0 is usually the very first publicly issued manifest and everything after that is patches, although for TF2 it differs depending on the depot because some early tf2 depot manifests correspond to unidentified builds that predate September 17, 2007. However, the leaked June 2007 build files won't be in the usual 441/442/etc depots, they'd likely be in the Postal 3 depots earliest manifests.

People digging for tf2 shit should focus on the f-stop stuff when it was tf2-themed, early Postal 3 manifests, and really dig through this Mac staging build because that is definitely new. Check that entire build through and through. Especially the models and textures, but don't forget to dig the text files like lst files in tf/reslists.
>>
>>746610036
Wait, so the reason you're mad at Tyler is because he wasn't able to gaslight some random Valve employee into sharing more pictures of folders? Is that really it?

>>746611586
They aren't. This has been explained an innumerable amount of times in this thread. There isn't an extra 3TB of data, that was quite literally just made up by a random poster and you mongoloids just keep repeating it over and over. As has been explained god only knows how many times this is just a depot, not Valve's entire internal secret storage, it is unlikely to contain a project like episode 3. You are a gullible low IQ /pol/ rapefugee and you need to go back.
>>
>>746611058
There's a few missing things in there like Dishonored and Sleeping Dogs which released before 2013, but why they're missing nobody knows. ALLEGEDLY its because trannies are hoarding 2 extra TB of the good stuff, but I don't really believe that given how much extra stuff is needed to make up 2TB.
>>
