>bubble deflates flooding the market with chips that were intended for LLMs

honestly, I don't see any company pushing for better graphics anytime soon.
No competition between the companies since AI companies are just buying out all stock regardless of quality.

As long as you build something around 2024, you should be set for at least the next 10 years. PC gaming is gonna be stable for awhile.
Only consoles gaming need to be upgraded to be in line with current graphics.

All in all, around 70% to 80% of the net value of work goes to the government, so they can give it to themselves, their kids, cousins, friends and connections that can help them rise higher so they can steal even more.

Yeah this is bigger than people realize. In the past consoles were generally introduced at a loss with the intention to sell games and make up the money, most people know this. What a lot of people don't know is that consoles generally became profitable on their own over time as manufacturing got cheaper. It took Sony like half a decade to start making money on PS3 sales but the PS4 took less than a year and so did the PS5. The PS5 price increase happened after years of the console itself being profitable because things have gotten that bad. In the future I wouldn't be surprised if consoles are sold at cost at best and you know that online subscription shit isn't going away. As worried as people are I'm worried that they're not worried enough because the future's on track to suck even more ass than it already does.

Chyna will save consumer memory, they'll be dogshit at first but like their EVs they'll continue to improve and consumer electronic corpos will beg to include Chink RAM inside their devices.

Normoids still have to use their phones and offices still need to use their PCs for work. Even Nintendo and Snoy will bite the bullet and add cheaper Chink RAM instead of charging $1000+ for their newest consoles.

PC gaymen components however are over, the 5090 will be the last coomsoomer GPU.

If you think it’s going to get better you are actually cattle-brained. Even in peak covid supply wasn’t this tight, and the demand was on finished GPUs instead of a single component. These contracts are locked in at ATH prices and the only way they fall through and spot prices correct is if every buyer declares FM at the same time because they have no cash on hand or coming in in the near term.

And if that happens future doctors will be repossessing your PC during the riots so your cheapie gpu is a moot point.

I have read somewhere that you need to take the capacity of your SSD and multiply by some number, that will give you around the total write/read operations you SSD can do.
But in reality, it really depends on how you use it. Someone writing and reading into the SSD might have his shit broken in less than 2 years while someone who doesn't do a lot of operations might be able to squeeze decades out of it

If that were true the DSA commies would be running as a third party. Truth is you can't easily break a two party system, they have too much infrastructure, entrenched power, and deals in place to let an upstart new party butt in. The only viable tactic for a new agenda/candidate is reforming the parties from the inside with populism. Trump did it in 2016 with the republicans by screaming corruption and affordabiity, and the DSA are doing it right now with the democrats by screaming AIPAC and affordability.

>how the fuck are all these companies making these retarded decisions and quadripling down on them
Essentially, the hyperscalers investing ungodly sums into AI (Google, Microsoft, Amazon, Meta) are convinced that AI will eventually become so valuable that it will make them infinite money. So they're making these absolutely insane spending commitments based on that assumption. For the memory manufacturers like Samsung, this is easy money. And more importantly, the data center market can grow *much* bigger and much faster than the consumer gaming market. It's why Nvidia doesn't even count gaming on its financials anymore, why AMD reported a 30% drop in gaming revenue but still massive overall profit increases, and why Crucial stopped making consumer RAM entirely.

If you believe that AI, actual "replace all workers" AI, is just around the corner, then all of this psychotic spending makes sense. But if that assumption turns out to be wrong, this is going to be a massive disaster and the global economy will collapse, taking all of us down with it while cunts like Sam Altman, Jensen Huang, Satya Nadella, etc. get an inevitable government bailout and go retire to Jared Kushner's Epstein Island 2: Electric Boogaloo in fucking Albania or something.

I think it's very real.
Just ultimately inconsequential to costs of living and other various practical material realities that many people have to face.

The fact that you can comfortably cry about new movies or games being shit (which they are, and often because they try to go for new, more diverse audiences, yes) means you live much better than many.

I mean, I do too, live and have been licing better than many.
But when I started working and started living my life more day by day, something changed in me and I started focusing more on quality of that daily life. Quality of life for me and ultimately for everyone.
When I was a student and with more free time and more focused on the long term, I was more like you.

I guess I'm giving you more serious replies that you deserve.

Electronics require specialists, proper tools and specific resources. None of these are commonly available and RAM is actually extra-hard to produce. I upgraded everything last January anticipating increases in cpu and gpu prices. I didn't anticipate RAM and storage going up as much as they did because if I did I would've bought something completely overboard instead of buying a 2tb ssd and 32 GB ram.
I dont really care about ram for the time being but the increase in prices of storage even ye olde HDDs has been very inconvenient. I just want to put another hard drive in my NAS but the 8tb drive I once bought for $160 is now $380 which I cam still easily afford but I refuse to encourage these long-nose prices on principle even if it screws me more in the long run.

probably, yeah. They're more than willing to just buy lower speed memory and components to crank out another console since nintendo fans aren't conditioned to expect BIG NUMBER GO UP as much as PS or Xbox.

If that's your reasoning then it would be better to pay even more.

That's the thing. The AI boom isn't real.
It's all circular funding because it all operates at a huge loss due to nobody actually finding it worth their money.
This isn't about AI data centers at all. This is about creating artificial scarcity to the point where everyone is forced into cloud computing.
If they weren't using AI to mislead investors, and said "We're building cloud computing." then everyone would pull out.
This isn't just games, this is computing in general.
The most valuable resource is all the data that they harvest from you, and if you're on their cloud computers you have absolutely zero privacy.
The future they are trying to build is you with nothing but a screen connected to the cloud, and if you aren't connected then your screen is a brick.

Damn I guess Browns and Indians aren't that bad after all, and you seem to love them. Quite the contrary to all you've been saying before. Almost seems like you just say and do whatever to push your goals/narratives. I'm honestly glad that you guys are like this, because It has justified me not ever caring about any of you guys' thoughts, feelings, nor opinions. Including whatever happens to you. I felt absolutely zero sympathy nor empathy when you idiots were getting killed by ICE, since I know that a lot of you are snake-like creatures. Thank you for making it easier for others to dehumanize you.

I am NOT paying €1000+ for 64gigs of RAM alone, never mind the price of a 5090.
Tbdesu I don't even mind keeping my current 3090, I'm just pissed I can't upgrade CPU without a new motherboard that in turn needs DDR5. But I'm not paying goy prices for it.
Wake me up when prices go down again, I'm a patient man.

The problem is, technology is the only sector where prices are falling, the consumer price index is on FIRE if you cut out phones and TVs and shit. Anything that causes their prices to stop falling like stones is going to reveal what’s really going on with inflation.

If you ever needed proof that the elites are fucking retards who can’t learn, just watch them deliberately fuck up the bread and circuses. The point is to make you not notice that the means of subsistence are 5,000% more expensive than they were for your parents by distracting you with video games and tiktok in your pocket. Fucking with that is a recipe for civil unrest.

From NVidia? None. They’re selling the proverbial shovels. They KNOW it’s all bullshit it’s why they aren’t ramping up production. They’re gonna make hay while the sun shines and when it’s over go back to what they were doing in 2016.

After all, you gonna punish them for it? Exactly.

There'll be a huge amount of social tension released, riots will be canceled

I work in a data center. It's a nice environment to work in actually compared to regular IT/Tech corporate offices because you make a lot more money and it can be really relaxed sometimes. Hard to say if it's a bubble from my end but man they are investing a lot of money on all front. The US. I hope the US loses the AI “arms race”. I hope some other country gets the worthless distinction of Lords of Slop, I don’t want it to be us. I don’t want data centers ruining rural living, I don’t want fake GDP from hyperscaler jewry, I want it all to collapse.
