Was he in the wrong?
>>746614029Yes, every Vault gets found out eventually. Might as well greet the world with someone who now knows the locals
>>746614029No, and if you killed him you proved his point.
>>746614029100% wrong"You can't rejoin the vault because you've seen the outside world and people will like.. be curious and ask you questions and stuff... and like maybe they'll want to leave after you describe all the horrific shit happening outside our idyllic community." It doesn't even fucking make sense. If he's genuinely concerned about that, just make the Vault Dweller sign an NDA or agree to not encourage anyone to leave. At least give him a chance. I kill that fucker every time.
>>746614029No. His decision caused half of the vault population to leave while his mission was to keep as many dwellers inside as possible.
>>746614390>Was he in the wrong?fuck, I mean YES. He failed as overseer.
>>746614309I didn't want to kill him but bloody mess forced me to on my first playthrough which I really hated
He could've at very least let the vault dweller rest for a couple weeks and get some pussy from that red haired chick, but immediate exile after saving everyone's lives twice over? That's fucked.
>>746614029Why didn't the Vault Dweller just settle in Shady Sands after being kicked out of the vault? I'm sure the town would have welcomed him with open arms.
>>746614572There's nothing to do there but watch the brahmin mate
>>746614029Maybe yes but he's honestly not as hateable as a lot of people make him out to be
>>746614572Someone told him about the hot tribal girls out there and the rest was history.
>>746614572he mostly likely fucked tandi and dipped
>>746614819He's a likeable character in general, I just think his logic behind banishing the vault dweller makes no sense. He's clearly remorseful about the decision, but it seems wholly unnecessary.
>>746614029>They dragged his old ass out and shot him in the face later.I would have just kicked him out, this seems like a bit much.
>>746615068And he kinda felt like a father figure to the vault dweller as well, so it's kinda hard to hate him
>fallout 1 : first game starts in a vault >fallout 2 : starts in a tribe you play as the descendent of the first fallout character >fallout tactics : you're in the BOS in the midwest>Fallout New Vegas : Mailman caught into a state wide conflict after being shot in the head outside Vegas meanwhile>fallout 3 : starts in a vault look for family member >fallout 4 : starts in a vault look for family member >fallout 76 : starts in a vault >fallout tv : starts in a vault character looking for family member reminder that todd and his bethesda writing team should all rope for what they did to fallout absolutely creatively bankrupt
>>746615246You forget, we were looking for the Overseer in Fallout 76.It's like how Sony only knows how to do revenge storylines now.
>>746615246Can't wait for Fallout 5 where you play as Walton Goggins looking for his family
>>746615334everything about that show was a mistake pure falloutslop
>>746615246the problem is that they write their stories from the beginning, i don't even know they even know what the story to be about or its themes"there has to be a vault and there has to be this and that and we gotta connect them somehow"
>>746615334>>746615661It could have been so easy, but noooooooooo it just HAD to be set in California so Todd's just fucking up all the lore from Fallout and Fallout New Vegas.
>>746614029Ugh-lee
>>746614029Yes. He borders on evil even
>>746614029Nah, the wasteland is cruel to good and evil alike.Morality can't take place in the vaults. After tasting how sweet moral agendas could be, you would inevitably taint the vault with lessons they couldn't practice. It's good he told you to leave, even if it was for selfish reasons. He may not have known it at the time, but he was saving a god forsaken people from their own inevitable ruin.
>>746615246And even with Van Buren you would have began in a prison facility with goals unique and distinct from the previous games.
>>746614029no
>>746614029I can sort of get it. On my playthrough it took me almost a year to kill the master and the only time I came back to the vault was to drop off the water chip. That’s a LONG time to be away from home, and the vault dweller would inevitably be a completely changed person. He wouldn’t be able to acclimate back to vault life after 365+ days of fighting for his life and seeing horrors he couldn’t possibly have imagined. It’s a bit of a dick move for the overseer to banish the vault dweller outright but I can at least get the reasoning. What if the VD tries to convince others to leave and endangers them because they’re not as prepared? What if he sabotages the vault again so he has an excuse to leave again? What if the wasteland made him go crazy and he decides to kill everyone inside eventually? What if he tries to throw some kind of mutiny and take the role of overseer? I just hate that I had bloody mess equipped and it made my VD kill him. I’d like to have thought he wouldn’t have stooped to that level. Killing someone because they upset you is the mark of a lesser man and kind of spoils the heroic actions the VD has done
>>746615246NV is also original, its set in the fallout universe close to where 1 & 2 took place and it makes it obvious, but besides that the story, setting, and characters are all new and dont pull the "dude its like thing from past game"Fallout 3s story is a hodgepodge of the first two in a washington dc setting>muh vault>muh water>muh enclave>muh quirky 1950s>muh supermutants>muh BoS
>>746614029Yeah he's fucking retarded
>>746614029>You're going to have to pull yourself up by the bootstraps from now on, junior.
>>7466167953 would be fine as it's own thing if the series had the the direction of new vegas but no it was the starter to falloutslop where everything needs to be the exact fucking same
>>746614029his haircut was in the wrong
>>746614029I felt a bit bad learning that the vault killed him after Fallout 1. I don't think he deserved that
>>746614029He was being paranoid, but the paranoia was somewhat grounded and understandable. there is understandably massive backlash to his decision and it makes you wonder if he thought everyone would just be okay with it or what because apparently the vault rioted over it and murdered him.
>>746617041my sides
>>746615246look at the top of his head
>>746614029>>746614372Letting a traumatized war vet back into society? Lol nah, take a hike vault dweller.>>746614309Him getting killed by the vaulties anyway proves he's standing on a hill of sand trying to remain king of the castle.
>>746614029yes, and you should kill him
>>746614572The fallout bible suggests he went luddite mode after seeing how fucked the wasteland was. Still kinda dumb they became retard tribals after only two generations even without the GECK.
>>746615068I think it makes sense considering how much Mad Max inspired the game. In the endings for those films he does all the heroics only to be left to wander the world alone. It fits the bleak theme at least, but f2 kinda makes it redundant with the other dwellers joining him.
>>746614029So they say Nobark is the chosen one, what happened to the vault dweller?
>>746616714>>746617253It makes a lot more sense if you imagine Albert Cole being the canon vault dweller. That nigga was a political rival ofc he was gonna expel him. It essentially is canon considering the dissidents join him to form Arroyo.
>>746615246Nate the Rake as a Master-like villain would be excellent imo. A thawed out war hero rampaging across the wasteland and your pc has to stop him. Like a mix of Caesar and Mr House.
>>746618929Make this fallout in canada and recon fallout 4 as Nate being the canon protagonist as a warlord. No BOS/nukacola/supermutants/retofaggotfuturism/emile writing slop. Bring back dieselpunk and have actual rpg mechanics and then we have kino
>>746619349Having the Hanford Site as the final boss location would be some historical recursion kino imo. Have the map be like in the classic games and include a load of the PNW bordering Canada.
>>746614029Yes. Poor vault dweller
>>746620136>hey can I get a new vault suit, atleast. mine's ripped and dirty bro
>>746614029No but he was still wrong in the end
>>746617856His face alone is reason enough to kill him
>>746614029>send guy out to get new water chip>manages to do it>send him back out to deal with mutant threat>does it>tell him he needs to leave because he threatens your power/roll as overseerYes, he was a retard. And he either ends up getting gunned down or lynched when he tells everyone that he told you to leave.
>>746615246Powerful haircut
>>746620087I was thinking Toronto and New York state. Have the map goal orientated like Vegas instead of open world slop
