I'm not sure why /v/ doesn't like this game. I have to assume they're just incels who hate anything with women. SHf has the best gameplay in the series. The SH franchise has never had great gameplay so even with it's flaws, SHf is clear as the best. The motivations of the protagonist are also good. Hinako is living with an abusive family. Her father is a violent drunk who wants to sell her to pay off his debts. Her mother is passive and therefore complicit. Her sister is actually a good person but she moved out a long time ago. Hinako's relationships with her friends are also complex with some of the individuals involved being worse than enemies. Rinko in particular is extremely 2 faced and actually tries to kill Hinako, all because she likes a guy who likes Hinako. The relationship between Shu and Hinako is also strange. The both like each other but neither of them will fully commit to the idea. Despite starting it as a way of helping Hinako, Shu is completely responsible for the mental breakdown as he deals her drugs constantly. Sakuko is also toxic but kinda accidently because she's kind of a sperg. She begins to hate Hinako because she thinks Hinako hates her (she doesn't). I've rambled too much. I think the game is good. The story is solid and the gameplay is the best in the franchise.
