It is very difficult to move exactly "right" or exactly "up" and the game doesn't really compensate for any diagonal movement. Hot garbage that wasn't play-tested or intentionally made retarded to burn lockpicks or force auto-attempt.

just hold W when you find the slow tumbler, it prevents it from resetting when it drops. do this for each pin and you can pick the hardest lock with no skill points in lockpick. if you are getting filtered this bad maybe you should stick to banging rocks together for your entertainment

I would mark it as wrong, farming and mankind have the A, I and the last N in the same position, but only two of those are correct for mankind while 4 are correct for farming, which means that only two of those listed letters are correct, packing has all 3 in the same position so I doubt that's it

>>746674616
The worst form of Enshittifyer and cancer to vidya is the Basement Contrarian. The Basement Contrarian is a pure loser without merit, so he (Basement Contrarians are always male, females don't let being useless stop them from going outside) has to resort to simply having the opposite opinion of everyone smarter, faster, stronger, better looking, more hygenic, and better dressed than him in order to feel like he's the only one smart enough to know the REAL truth, in order to derive one pathetic iota of self worth so he doesn't do everyone a favor and eat a shotgun. This usually takes the form of OLD BAD GUD, NEW GUD BAD. The Basement Contrarian would be the kind of retard to tell you the Model T was a better car than a 2024 Mustang because the Model T had a manual transmissions. He's wrong, his reasons for being wrong are wrong, he is a faggot that makes everything he touches worse, and tank controls are obsolete dogshit.

After Farming is 4/7, the only remaining options there are Roaming, Packing, and Gaining. You then pick Packing, if you aren't retarded. 4/7 means the answer is Gaining. 3/7 means the answer is Roaming. Except in the 1/3 chance the answer was just Packing.

If your IQ is over 100 you should be able to figure it out without having it explained, there are literally only two things you can do and two things that can happen, that's a ridiculously low amount of permutations for experimenting

How would you know you have to move the mouse up, and when the prong is on top, click the button to engage the mechanism?

Noone got filtered by anything posted in this thread. You are pretending they did.

Puzzles that can actually filter people are ones that are extremely difficult to understand like some levels of Baba Is You, or alternatively they are puzzles that are just poorly designed like the goat puzzle in Broken Sword.

on my first playthru of Signalis, I managed to do every single puzzle and secret, that was probably the most fun I've had with puzzles and a videogame in general since forever. I literally had like 20 post-it notes all over my desk and screen and keyboard keeping track of stuff and solving riddles and drawing paralells between the ingame lore and IRL stuff

not claiming any of that is considered impressive if youre white with a tripledigit IQ, but it was challenging enough for me that I really felt my brain tickle in a good way that I've yet to experience since

Bro it gets worse. This is by far the EASIEST speechcraft minigame ever and it was hated for forcing the player to actually interact with the game.
>>
>>746707983
I got filtered by this and still don't get it. But is it even worth engaging with, with bribing just being so cheap and effective?
>>
>>746707983
It was hated because it's retarded. Why am I FORCED to rp a BPD cunt who jokes, threatens, admires and gloats all in the span of a minute in every single conversation?

>I got filtered by this and still don't get it.
Incredibly easy to get after you interact with it a bit: you must pick every single one of the options, the yellow-orange stuff (YOS) represent how much of an impact that will have on the NPC, and their expression when you mouse over one of the options tells you how they feel about it, and every time you click a YOS, they all move clock-wise I believe.

So basically, you mouse over every option to see how the NPC feels about it, and you try to score the biggest YOS on what they like and the lowest on what they hate knowing that each time you click, the YOS move clockwise by one.

Every NPC has 4 reactions. Think:
:D
:)
:(
:C
Now apply the 4 options to it.
:D - Admire
:) - Joke
:( - Boast
:C - Coerce
Every time you choose an option the wheel rotates, or you can choose to rotate it once or twice. The wheel itself has 4 different sectors, Near Empty, Low, Medium, Near Full. Apply THESE to the OPTIONS during a ROTATION.

You want to maximize the :D and :) options and minimize the :( and :C options. And wala, you are speech.

>>746710016
Wait, what do you mean it can rotate twice???
How?

Honestly man I do not remember if you could but the rotate option is very good. I may just be remembering rotating once and immediately knowing I'll need to rotate again after taking the lesser of two bad options kinda thing. The minigame is super easy and, again, was only hated because it forced people to play the game instead of mindlessly press a button until they finally persuaded the NPC to tell them where Fagnar the Gay is holed up.
>>
>>746710629
it's a speechcraft perk, like level 50 or 75 or some shit
>>
>>746710748
Where WAS Fagnar the Gay holed up tho?

Bro, your unlock birthsign? Your alteration spells? Your skeleton key? The game has ways around lockpicking.

Usually not, unless you're a poor Orc doing a speech heavy quest, like the castle detective one. Side note, Even with the countesses disposition as high as it could go for an Orc she still wouldn't sell me a house, so mileage may vary with the speech skill and low personality. Had to use a charm spell on her to get my house in Chorrol.

ESLs intentionally make their english terrible so the smaller mistakes go unnoticed. Since that's about 1/5 of posts, you can guess the demographics of this shithole.
