The stats from Nintendo:

- Only 2.5 games per console sold after one year

- The top 4 best-sellers make up about 50% of all software sales

- Software sales include over 10 million Mario Kart World bundled copies

- Statistically many Switch 2 owners have bought ZERO third-party games
>>
because the switch 2 is backwards compatible

Do those switch 2 upgrade packs count as games?
Also why would you buy a third party game on Switch? The Switch is for Nintendo games, you can play those third party games on your PC and get better performance.

I'm pretty sure you've been told numerous times already that switch 1 games bought on switch 2 are counted as sw1 sales.
>>
>he removed the Wii U stats upon being told how retarded he was for implying the Wii U was more successful than Switch 2 today

This nigga has spent years of his life spamming /v/ - video games about how nintendo ruined his life and are the antichrist, what a pitiful existence. Even if you're a console warring fanboy of any of these companies, be glad you're at least not this faggot.

>Also why would you buy a third party game on Switch?
Because some games are better for couch gaming.

Year 1 for Switch 1 featured a myriad of major sellers 3 of which had lifetime sales of more than 30 million units, only 1 Switch 2 game is expected to hit that mark in it's lifetime. No matter how good DK Bananza could have been it was never going to have the same kind of pull as Mario Odyssey.
Some Switch 1 game successes are impossible to repeat even with superior quality, Smash Bros Ultimate's gimmick won't work 2x in a row, the pull of an open world Zelda didn't work 2x in a row, Mario Kart World doesn't have the completely absurd amount of courses that 8 Deluxe had after the Booster Course pass.

No, neither do Switch 2 versions of Switch games, although for individual game sales they do count as different versions, Nintendo are counting things in a way that puts the Switch 2 at a disadvantage, compared to Playstation and Xbox who often consolidate sales and fudge numbers to make their current platforms look better.

SHUT THE FUCK UP!!
>>
>most of the promotion over the last several months hasn't been "you need a Sw2 for these great games" but "you'd better get a Sw2 before the price goes up"
>shocked pikachu face when the buyers this panic-buy tactic worked on didn't also grab an additional 3 or 4 Sw2 games

So was the Wii U the Wii, the 3DS, the DS and the GBA

Kek.
I dislike Nintendo with passion but I own a Switch 2 for the portability and own over 15 games on it already. The twist: they are all 3rd party games, no more than $20 each.

The Steam Deck would technically be better but I find it too big and not very portable.

Hey, you forgot (again), so I thought I'll remind you (again)
>Doesn't include sales of digital only games
>Doesn't include digital sales of Switch 2 Editions of games
Hope that helps and you won't keep making retarded threads in the future

>>Doesn't include sales of digital only games
What the fuck are the Mario Kart World sales then?
