My schizo theory?Mantle board 2 isn't the weird route. It's a chapter 6 spoiler. In chapter 6 Noelle is going to Yiik out, get the thorn ring properly and Snowgrave Berdly. The weird route only causes that canon event to happen earlier than intended. In chapter 2 Noelle seems to not know Snowgrave because she hasn't learned it yet.When chapter 6 ends, the real thorn ring obtained in chapter 6 will be in our possession and we will be able to craft the Twisted Sword. Aborting the weird route before freezing Berdly to keep the chapter 2 ring doesn't matter. The weird route only matters if you follow Noelle all the way into 7B, otherwise the game just snaps back to normal.
