What a stupid clickbaity article. It's obvious that Kojima is not envious. He is saying that he didn't have the same support when he started out, and that it's nice that this is changing and that new talent is being recognized.Why in the world would Kojima be envious of this guy? Kojima is infinitely more influential in the film industry. Also reminder that Kojima literally rejected the film industry because he thought movies weren't complex enough to convey his ideas. He is above all of this. And he is the only developer I know of that makes proper cutscenes with camera angles, pacing and such. Basically he is the only guy in the industry that doesn't think video games are for children, he takes them with seriousness and puts effort because he knows he is making something for adults, and he also wants it to be art.Ironically the ones that come closest to Kojima when it comes to treating their audience like adults is Nintendo.

I lost any respect for Kojima when I found that he fired the guy that localized MGS because he did it without any pay beforehand and without the internet, so he essentially had no input from Konami or Kojima, and had to do it all himself with books and just general knowledge. He did a fantastic job, and Kojima fired him for it because he was unhappy with a few words being changed like "wireless" to "Codec", etc.
