The one big issue I've got with it so far is that you don't get party members. Shit tends to limit your combat options when you're only giving commands to one character. It kills any incentive to use skills that buff your character or debuffs enemies because doing so ultimately just means giving the enemy a free hit on you which results in battles into just a matter of trading blows with the enemy since there's not much incentive to use a skill unless it directly damages an enemy. With a party system you've got more incentive to use a variety of skills since you can have one dude acting as a healer/buffer, another dude casting debuffs, etc.
