Emotionally: conflicted over accepting that Ocarina of Time Remake is very much looking to be my last rodeo with the Switch 2. The latest Direct made it clear that the system just isn't for me (and with that being the case, modern gaming at large). I'm getting way more into retro gaming though and enjoying tons of stuff I have no nostalgic attachment to, so I'm confident I'm not experiencing a generalized drift away from gaming; just specifically modern gaming.

Besides that shit, I'm feeling good. I'm enjoying that it's getting cooler out (even if not massively yet) and starting to get dark out earlier.

I went onto MK8DX for a bit recently with the shadowdropped Switch 2 update, and there still seems to be a respectable playerbase there. No idea for sure about Splatoon, but I'd assume 3 still sees decent activity since it's still the latest full-multiplayer Splatoon game.

I've already replayed GTA IV and the Trilogy DE in the last two years, even played that fan made VC port to the IV engine, so now it only made sense to replay V. As for VI, not playing it anytime soon either way - no console and my GPU needs an upgrade. It's a shame, 'cause what I saw in the trailer is exactly what I wanted it to be. Good thing my backlog is packed anyway.

Pretty much but without all the seasoning, just thinly pounded out, maybe at best stuffed with a bit of garlic for extra taste, and then on the grill for roughly 1h-1h30 or so at high heat. Simple and tasty.

Been PLAYAN since ARR and I'll say it's in an awkward place. Player count seems to be close to pre-COVID numbers so the game feels dead even though it's not. Regardless, DT really fucked up FFXIV's reputation. Lots dropped it because the MSQ was terrible and complained the content was too hard. But I think the battle content is bretty gud even though there's clearly inconsistencies in the difficulty and quality of content itself

I think the issue is Square is TRYAN too hard to appease too broad of an audience. So things are MISSAN marks or come out half assed because they're TRYAN to do too much. And everyone is tired of the 10+yr old formula. Everyone's reasonably skeptical of Evercold and I know a lot of FC mates who aren't PLANNAN on COMAN back. At least not at launch

Watched Strange Days yesterday. Really loved the style, but the plot was just okay. Also trying to catch up with GITS 2026, I don't mind the tone being lighter than the Oshii movie, especially since there's still some darker moments and philosophy
