Note that Blizzard really did not commit to ANY details beyond "open-world shooter" and the trailer is specifically crafted so that it could mean anything. This could be singleplay, this could be multiplayer, it could be run-based, it could be a roguelike, it could be a linear story campaign, it could be missions you pick out one by one, it could have layered management systems, it could be barebones... there's really nothing that nails anything down beyond "space marines are indoctrinated and die a lot".Rumors say that this is being made in UE5, which is a workflow Blizzard would've had to hire a ton of new talent for because that is not the sort of institutional legacy knowledge anyone has at Blizzard thanks to all their custom tools and engines (plus they fired so many of the veterans already).This feels like a doomed project, not only because they are announcing it four years in advance and everything can change (See all the other Blizzard games that got annouced way ahead of time and then were cancelled or scrapped and reworked) and they're running out of time because Xbox management is literally breathing down their necks. If we know anything about Asha, it is that she is fucking impatient and wants results as fast as possible, so it is really bad for Blizzard that they've been mismanaged for roughly a decade now and have wasted enormous amounts of valuable time and resources on fucking nothing, time after time.
