don't worry, it'll never get betterall the ai companies are fear mongering that their ai is so dangerous and it needs to be stopped. you wonder why they're doing that? it's a power grab. they'll point to open source ai and say it's just as powerful and dangerous but it's actually more dangerous because it doesn't have a benevolent company like openai or anthropic behind them to make sure they have strong safety guard rails in place, so they'll shut down hugging face and try and ban local models. but that's not enough because they're already out there, so they'll say the only way to keep us safe is to limit the amount of power consumer computers are allowed to have and the government will happily oblige and in a few years you'll only be able to buy thin clients that connect to their datacenters to rent out power from them. hope you like chromebooks and geforce now
