Like a game that has no quest markers by design will probably ask you to read quests and explore. Games that do have markers just give you the objectives and mark the point on your map, with some flavour at most but no actual directions.Having it as a toggle tells me the game is designed around brain damage quest markers and turning it off means you're literally just playing at a massive disadvantage. That's not even choosing a "classic experience" because classic expects you to read quests and dialogue.
