either that or spam veterans to increase house size by doing the first chapter of each act and giving them away after
then dump all your nicest stuff in one room and put a male/female breeding pair with the best stats you've got in theremake sure they're not gay or low test
now you have breeding farm for decent cats. take those decent cats and put them in another room. they're your main adventurers. any good cats you get from the ones that show up daily go here too.
all your other cats go into empty room with whatever mutation increasing furniture you get and it becomes a fight pit. take the winning fighters/mutants and use them on missions. good mutations get bred back in. throw out the failures.
do the hard paths on act 1 and spam them for money and furniture. furnituremaxxing is the way. act 2 crater when you choose a modifier has one that guarantees mutations. spam this too, breed the good mutations back into the gene pool. avoid inbreeding beyond slight.

realize the game is more tedious than fun and stop playing.

Originally I was very interested in the game when I heard it was inspired by chao garden. Then Edmund decided to drop literally everything fun about it and turn it to a standard tactical game but without any kind of reason to play it beside maybe being an entry level one. Though from what I heard about the balancing it doesn't even do that well. Ignore the newer ones outright, 5 is generally accepted as the best one unless you care about the story of such games which for the series may as well be like caring about the tutorial on any other game. the concept of the game is fine but the execution is dogshit, it takes too long to long to get some decent results from the breeding so you are forced to go on pointless runs to stay alive and then once you get a decent team your run is fucked because you got assraped by a random event, gj

Tossing away any cats with birth defects is fine, though some can be useful(like the "no mouth" one).
I'll give some moire tips:
Having a "fight room" and a room with the chastity statue can help you control the breeding better.
Having "perfect" stats on a cat isn't that important.
If you want to guarantee a really good spell/passive gets passed on, wait until a cat is born with it, then remove the retired parent that have it and let the child do the breeding(as the parent can still pass his other useless spells).
