For Engage you have Micaiah and double xp engage weapons to help level a unit.

It punishes you for wasting an excess of money, which only happens when you overuse overly expensive items at times where you don't need them (i.e. spamming your Silvers on low hp enemies, breaking Barrier by using it every turn instead of when there's magic enemies, using Elixirs to recover slight damage). Isn't the generous threshold wonderful as a concept?
