Would an MMORTS drive players to the genre? What RTS designs are most important to you?
Skirmish. I want to fuck around fighting the computer all day at various levels of difficulty trying out all kinds of strategies. Also more than 3 sides. Leave the mmo part out, I don't give a shit about fighting other people

>>747546937I remember back 10 years ago there was this MMORTS where you own squads instead and you're part of a very big faction. There's 3 factions and you all fight per region to capture each region for an overall global goal. I don't remember the game but it looks like Starcraft1 inspired designs. I bet half of it was AI players though but it was a neat original concept I've never seen since. With how many players play online these days like Helldivers 2 that has persisting global goal, I'd bet it would be a hit these days
>>747547230Have you tried SupCom 2? The AI is really good.>>747547402Supreme Commander: Forged Alliance. Play multiplayer on FAF. Start on the Dual Gap map and learn each slot (navy, land, air, and eco).
More RTS games should have progressive map game modes, this and Empire at War were super fun for that.
An "mmorts" are those "straegy" mobile games that all have the same gameplay loop.
>>747549043There's like one actual RTS (base building and unit production and synchronous attacks) on mobile.
>>747549806Which one is it? You know they ported a few rts games to mobileCompany of heroes and rome total war.Majesty as well.
