Do you think they'll ever make Metal Gear Rising 2? If they do what do you want from it?

Platinum is dead, any MGR2 is dead. The logical conclusion of MGR is Raiden becoming another Big Boss, per the post-credits scene.

Gray Fox killing and escaping Paramedic's lab, call it Metal Gear Rising 0
>>
I would be interested to see how the world of metal gear evolves with that technology and what happens post patriots. Armstrong was a good starting point to that.

It's a higher possibility now since Platinum is back on collaborative terms with Konami, but the original director of MGR is not at Platinum anymore so it depends on if the staff at Platinum are still interested in making a sequel.

Yeah any sequel would have to eventually lead into Raiden becoming a full on villain. He is already evil as per the events of MGR and embraced his darker half. Maybe MGR2 would still have him as the protagonist, but I imagine the best way to write Raiden would be to have him become the main villain and final boss, maybe by MGR3.

George seemed like a setup for a future protagonist. A grown up partial cyborg or full cyborg George fighting Raiden would be pretty cool. I dont see why else they cyborged him if not to set him up as an eventual recurring character. Too bad this spinoff series is dead, though. But maybe the memes will revive it as Konami looks to milk the influx of gen alpha losers playing the original because of TikTok.

lol no, he stopped edging his bloodlust and learned to control it

Free-form cutting. Instead of only one straight line with each sword slice, draw a curve or zig-zag across an enemy's body to carve out specific organs or muscle groups.

they wouldnt need to do much different
dedicated platforming sections that require the blade mode
less human bossfights, more giant robots

I like the codec calls about armstrong. They expand on his lore and technology. He isn't just made of Nanomachines: his entire body is made of claytronics, or programmable matter.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Programmable_matter

Programmable matter is sci-fi but theoretical advanced programmable matter could take any shape that the mind commands it to. Armstrong just chooses to be in the shape of a human body likely because it is the easiest to maintain. But programmable matter in general surpasses any sort of cybernetics and would basically bring magic into the Metal Gear universe. Imagine waves of black goo nanomachines that can take any shape, or the zombies of Survive. Probably with the aesthetic of Death stranding. If they did go further, that is likely where it would go. The devs said in an interview once that Armstrong was put in to show how a normal human body could still surpass the cyborgs in universe, which makes me think future games would have claytronics expanded upon to have shapeshifting, almost magical humans who can conjure shapes and weapons out of thin air.

Raiden recognized that he wasn't a good person by the end and that operating with an ends justify the means ideology led to him hurting hundreds of innocent soldiers and breaking the laws of society. He does it to defend children, but he still ends the game pretty firmly as an anti-hero/villain by the time the credits roll.

Gray fox spinoff, or perhaps a prequel of Raiden rescuing Sunny from the patriots.
>>

Not because of bloodlust but because he and Armstrong see eye to eye on the fact that most people in the world fight for causes they do not believe in. Just unfiltered memes infecting people (24/7 of internet trivia and celebrity bullshit, money, etc.)

I like Rising as a finale to the series with Raiden memetically carrying on the legacy of all the Snakes that came before him. He really is the embodiment of Big Boss when he embraces his Jack the Ripper persona. Both Raiden and Solidus being child soldiers makes his character progression interesting. He's basically the leftover legacy of Big Boss, and in the end he makes the wrong decision and embraces his darker half, unlike Snake who was able to walk away from the battlefield and retire into a happy ending.

It completely undoes the events and ending of MGS2 but sets up quite an interesting potential for a sequel. I'm curious how more batshit insane Raiden would grow if they ever pick him back up.

I think it would be funny and very metalgear if raiden became a stellar blade style bimbo but still behaved the same. I would play a game where everyone around him is either uncomfortable or making fun of him. The game should end with him transitioning into a metal gear.

didn't they just make NG4?

He's just embracing his inner child.

>final boss Raiden where he blade modes and zandatsu's you at the speed of light if your guard drops
Hope it happens someday. Would be neat to see what the slow-mo looks like from the perspective of the npcs in the game.

The events of MGS4 were centered around Snake undoing the AI's control of the world. That's why we don't see them again. Revealing that some of them survived in an obscure way by uploading themselves elsewhere would definitely be a neat direction for the future of the series.

The trailers did a few flashbacks of Solidus at least.
