Do you remember Metal Gear Survive
>>747548341yeah, fun game
>>747548341It was the most boring shit I ever played. I got into one lobby and the other guy was like "bro the game is dead you wont find anyone else". Can't remember a thing about it except that it was incredibly boring.
I had some fun but goddamn was it a mess

I call it Dite Stranding
>>747548426>It was the most boring shit I ever played. I got into one lobby and the other guy was like "bro the game is dead you wont find anyone else"Are you talking about the multiplayer? Survive is primarily a singleplayer game.
>>747548521honestly, playing it at release was really fun because everybody was avoiding it because of the kojima drama so it was like gaming back in the day where you couldn't just google everything, you had to talk to people and share information. the threads here were comfy. i think i may have made the first ever collectible map for this game before someone eventually made an interactive web-based one. as far as the game goes, i liked building up my base and there were some pretty spooky levels early on that there definitely needed to be more of, like going into i think it was the DD medical platform, but it was before you really had any good equipment so you had to really avoid alerting the zombies.
>>747548341Yeah.>>747548521The singleplayer, base building was pretty good. Putting Heavens Divide on the base radio was kino. Up until you killed the fog beast, which created all of the tension and fear in that segment of the game, turning the fog into a very boring zombie filled field to sprint through just to collect materials.People started cheating pretty fucking quick, there were extremely annoying grinds to put together elemental ammo and you'd see guys in multiplayer lobbies using elemental ammo and guns exclusively as if they had no concern for the resource cost, because they didn't, because cheat engine.Initially the subscription model they had going was literally nothing. Not buying it did not matter. Then Konami realized having no incentive to buy their subscription model wasn't a great idea, so they ramped shit up by giving them more base resources, even adding timed leaderboards with 3x or so points for subscribers so only they could win. At that point everyone was cheating. Then they added the big endgame grind for fancy armor with set bonuses, and it was an extremely cancerous grind involving rng lootboxes, so everyone was just spawning in the lootboxes and showing up to multiplayer lobbies with full sets there was no way you could've acquired already.Hearing all of you guys continually parroting the "SPEAR IN FENCE" meme was hilarious, because that tactic died after like the very first mission and was largely useless at any increased difficulty. Realistically if you weren't cheating the weapon of choice was a bow or some heavy 2h melee. Guns if you were cheating.
