Halo should have stayed Xbox only though.If it's on PC it shouldn't be via Steam either. Ideally gog or the same system, you get the installer and it has no antipiracy or spyware.Maybe he can hire people fired from id and get a good engine.It doesn't need to do much just megatextures, auto LOD, converting models to sprites, volumetric explosions, and some nice post processing effects like lights blooming and motion blur to hide insufficient frames.Cutting it to that would give a lot of performance. Especially at low resolutions.Game does need to be large scale. You do need to cover a lot of different land travelling. And it needs to look very good. All different and good design achieves that.I haven't played death stranding except the initial movie. Which was too wrong for me, like playing on would be endorsing it. So I don't know about the engine. Killzone SF wasn't good. And Killzone 2 looked a lot better than it.I'd prefer some engine tried to make things look good rather than copy "reality" too.

Games look and play best on Xbox. The divide was biggest on the first console though and that American "we can do everything bigger and better" should have remained. Instead of pinching pennies. You won't be using a PS4 or 5 to play pirated stuff much.Xbox is also adding the ability to add discs to your digital library. So you don't have to swap discs to play games, but can still share them.Which makes discs the best way to own games until they stop using discs.Sony doesn't have the equivalent and looks to be abandoning discs and sharing entirely.Xbox also either entirely downloads a game (backwards compat) when the disc is inserted or downloads the scratched parts (Xbox1 and up). So discs have effectively 100% chance of working, even if they are scratched. As long as they are compatible.Neither Xbox or PS is good but Xbox is better.Consoles need to be a lot more user friendly. As in no delay starting games. Account auto made or fast to. Paying for multiplayer is disgusting too.Jrpgs are shit. So is Spiderman and god of Judea. Xbox users haven't missed out on anything for the last 2 gens but Returnal and The Last of Us (1).
