Was it one of the best post apocalyptic RPGs of all time?
>>
I dunno, I thought about getting it some years back when I was playing underrail or whatever and ended up forgetting about it. Is it good?

I played it a while ago and I liked it but I think I preferred 3 overall
>>
2 and 3 both have fucked up enemy health scaling.

aren't there less than a dozen? And I'm counting the fallout and hokuto no ken games separately, and including Car Wars.

I would love it love to play games like Wasteland but I'm a brainlet

They're easier than Fallout 1 and 2. Not sure about Wasteland 1 though, haven't played it.

CRPGs aren't really as difficult or overwhelming as you would imagine. I think the biggest barrier to entry is the opening of any CRPG where you're confronted by a big ass character creator and loads of skills and you start to think you're being overwhelmed but literally just pick any weapon that sounds fun to you(in WL's case it was the brawler class/fist guy), pick the appropriate scaling attributes(strength, dex, whatever) and then specialize your party(it's super easy because their starting stats often point you in the right direction and all you need to do is click +1 on the already leveled skills and abilities) into their roles. It's the easiest thing to do because you don't need to think beyond the options you've limited yourself to and more often than not it'll be an extremely powerful build for the entire game and will handle any scenario.

Also crpgs aren't really the kind of game you can 100% in one go so play with that in mind and don't feel like you've missed something out because there too high of a skill check somewhere that you couldn't pick.

And something like Wasteland is very easy on the reading side at least compared to very wordy shit like Pillars of Eternity.

I played PoE and remember how overwhelmed I was was. I assumed every CRPG is like that
I‘ll give WL2 a chance

Nobody talks about Wasteland at all.

And that's a good thing

I thought is was good but the second half of the game once you get to Hollywood felt like it wasn't as good as the first half.

Also good to have a crpg that isn't a fantasy setting.

WL3 is much better than WL2.

It's too long

Once you learn the mechanics of the game you cam easily break it by grinding just a bit a min max the right stats.

It was fun.
