There is nothing new but also simultaneously nothing everything wants (like Smash, Zelda, Mario ect). People forget that for Switch 1, Splatoon and Xenoblade were still very new series. Splatoon is now decade old and Xenoblade roughly 15 years old. There is no new IP like ARMS and with no heavy hitter. It is samey and underwhelming. Its a string of 3.5/5 games that goes 60, 70 and sometimes even 80 dollars. Yeah, Nintendo has exclusives, but none of them are worth a now $500 entry fee and the exorbitant cost of all of those games. The sad truth is that other than its not flopping hard enough for Nintendo to realize the issue, so it will likely be internalized and slowly drain the company of any soul it had left.
